Unfortunately there's no troubleshoot with a 52 error. As it implies it's usually the scanner bad. It sits up top- under the top cover. It connects to the Formatted Board on the left side. and there's 2 connector s at the scanner itself.

Developing disengaging motor error
. Run the component test to verify that
the print developing disengaging
motor is working correctly.
. Reconnect the connectors J468 and
J1020 between the developing
disengaging motor and the DC
. if motor is not rotating Replace the developing disengaging
problem due to cairtage leaver lock cairtages not engage properly i hv found max problem of this leaver it found damaged due to improper opening the doorpls follow above steps if problem not resolved then call hp engr for 4th step
