The soft touch of my nokia N95 is not working. How do I repair this? I also need the password for restoring factory settings. I couldn't restore factory settings because my service manual is in Chinese. Pls help.

It seems hardware failure of your phone's tuch screen. As N-95 is rather complicated you are advised not to open it untill you are not trained and have not enough skill to do so. Any skilled technician can do this job for you but will charge little for that. If you are skilled then post me I will send you manual depecting this by pic. You have to download it from rapidshare.

If the hard format code mentioned aboive does not work, try the following manual method to hard reset/format Nokia N95:
+ Turn off the mobile device. + Press and Hold the following three buttons: the green Call Answer button, the “*” button, and the number “3′ button. + While holding these buttons, turn on the phone and keep holding the keys untill the mobile phone restarts and prompts you to enter details.
Dear.You should restore the factory settings of your phone.Go to settings and seleck general .Then select factory settings,enter password that will restore your phone . But this action will format all your phone memory
First: if the phone menus work there is a; go to menu -> tools -> settings -> general -> factory restore.
note: the defualt code is 12345

Third: is a button combination the needs to be done during the phone powering on
Hold down. 3, * and Green Call button
While holding this combination press the power button once to start the phone
Note: this does not require any codes; if this works the phone will prompt you to be set up again
Please do this.Type *#7370# in your mobile phone,it will ask whether you want to restore factory settings give yes and it will ask for the code the default code is 12345.Give the code and wait for some time your phone will restart and you will see that your factory settings are restored.kindly rate me if i had helped.
