Question about Frigidaire GLEH1642DS Front Load Stacked Washer/Dryer
My washer stopped spinning (washing) . I took off the back panel and the long ribbed belt was hanging down, not on the big wheel looking thing. I had read that one common problem was debris in the hose which leads into the pump. So I took off the lower front panel and removed the clamps and sure enough there was a little debris cup that had 75 cents worth of change and other things.
I had noticed that the past 4 or 5 months that the clothes were pretty wet after the wash cycle. I don't know what happened first, but I think the full debris cup was keeping the water from draining out correctly and the belt was stressed because of the weight of the wet clothing. I tried putting the belt back on but it seems to be too worn to stay on correctly. I ordered a new one and hope that those two things will take care of the problem.
