Removal of inner glass door.. how.??

Open door to about 15~20 degree angle, pull up on door and totally remove from stove. Lay face down on flat surface. Now can access all screws to separate the inner and outer panels and to replace the glass. To return to stove, use locking pliers to pull the door hinge stubs out to their 15 degree open position, slide door on and close.

If glass not broken, just can't see through, no need to remove door or glass. Use glass cooktop cleaner, apply and let soak 3 minutes, then use new single edge razor in holder to shave off the baked on grease. May have to repeat 3x then switch to glass cleaner and clean again 3x, should be quite clean and clear unless seal has failed on the double pane thermal glass and internally obscured in which case the only cure is to replace the glass... return to paragraph 1.

Why is this model smoking so much when you use the oven why is so hard to clean the upper part the element is in the way and it is almost impossible to clean it

smoking ovens is from burnt on grease where people do not use oven bags to prevent grease spatter
get advice on how to remove the element and replace with a new one ( grease free) use a good quality spray on oven cleaner and let stand for the directed time then clean out properly refit the new element
it will be best if you remove the door first as it makes it easier to get in the oven

My oven is not getting very hot only warm on both ovens

Both ovens are on separate thermostats. The top oven is not very powerful and takes a long time to warm up. On my oven the top thermostat also under-heats by about 10 degrees. i.e. what ever it says on the dial, take 10 degrees off the actual temperature. I bought an oven thermometer from Lakeland to check what was actually happening and found out about the top oven. In my case the fan oven was spot on with the Lakeland thermometer.
The first thing I would check would be the thermostat sensors for both ovens. The sensor(s) are located at the top right rear of both ovens. The sensors should be bright and shiny. If the are dull and covered in dirt and grease, this may cause the oven thermostat to under-read. Again, go to Lakeland and buy their brush on oven cleaner and follow the instructions. It really works, although you have to keep reapplying if the grease is thick. I use it on all the surfaces in the oven and it comes up a treat! A word of warning. Treat the sensors and the thin wire that comes from each of them with caution as they are delicate. Don't attempt to clean them with a cloth etc, use the brush. (also if you clean the lenses for the oven lamps with the cleaner, you will be able to see what you are doing much easier.

Just put the oven on self clean which started a fire in my oven. I had to use to extinguish fire which caused the powder and/or grease to get in between the glass panels. Can I hire a tech to come out/take...

Yes you can hire a tech or do this job yourself.
Remove the door and place it on a large flat surface.
Remove the screws around the edge of the frame and separate the 2 pieces.
Clean away.
Re-align the 2 halves and replace the screws.

GE Monogram Trivection - self-clean cycle with oven racks in

Hello- First off, do not use 'self clean', or as most Techs call it: "Self- Destruct".  This 'feature' cheerfully sold by the salesman destroys more oven and range components than any other failure. Now- the racks had a thin layer of grease on them when the oven tried to turn stuff inside the oven to ash.  The grease is now a hard rubbery coating on the surface of the rack.  To solve this problem, you must determine by observation, where the rack touches the sides of the oven. These contact areas need to be cleaned thoroughly with scotchbrite and a small portion of oven cleaner. Make sure you use gloves. Sliding rack in and out to 'mark' these small spots works pretty good.  Once cleaned and wiped down, they should work fine. I recommend cleaning by removing as much 'stuff' by scraping and wiping down with moist cloth.  Turn on to 450deg for 30 min.  Much safer, less costly.                                                       Please acknowledge this posted solution if helpful.  Have more info if needed-  Thanks  -Ed

Grease in between glass on oven door

You have 2 pieces of glass that are separated by a frame then sealed. What has happened the seal has been broken and thus allowing air and grease inside. You can take it apart but the grease will come back, or you can buy a repalcement glass and be done with it. The question is, do you want to go to the trouble of cleaning the glass (1-2 hours of disassembly and assembly) probably once every 2 months depending on how often you use the oven, or buy a new one and it will always be clean. One caution, cleaning the glass periodically weakens and flexes the metal frame or band thus making it harder to properly seat the glass.

Oven smokes

If it smoke smells of burnt food or grease you have something on the surface of the element which is burning off.

If it is an acrid smoke it could be the element itself is on the way out or the fan (if it is a fan oven).

You need to make a visual check of the element/fan to ascertain their condition and clean or replace as necessary.

THE SIDE PANELS ARE A BASIC PAINT LIKE YOU FIND ON AUTOMOBILES, BUT MOST OF THE COOKTOP AND SOME BACKSPLASHES ARE MADE OF PORCELAIN. IF YOU ARE GOING TO PAINT THE SIDE PANELS, BE SURE TO STRIP ALL OF THE KITCHEN GREASE OFF THE PANEL SURFACES. BEST TO USE AMMONIA WATER TO CUT THE GREASE.

IT IS NOT ADVISABLE TO PAINT THE COOKTOP OR BACKSPLASH AREAS.
