follow the steps below:

Check to see that the player is in MSC mode by going to the USB mode section in the "Settings" menu.

Plug the SanDisk Sansa MP3 player into your computer.

Cannot delete the songs on mp3

I do mine through Windows Media Player
1)Plug in Sansa
2)Open up Windows Media Player and wait for the Sansa e250 icon to show up under the library. First time, might say 'What device is this' or 'Autoplay'-for autoplay, you click 'sync media files to Sansa e250 using WIndows Media Player'
3)When library shows, click 'Sync' if it is not already there.
4)Just simply click and drag the songs you want from the computer library to the list pane on the side.
5)Once your done, click 'Sart sync'

1)Plug in
2)Wait for the icon under Library in WIndows Media Player
3)Go to Songs under Sansa e250
4)Right click desired songs and choose Delete. You only want to delete from Sansa e250-nothing else

Bad tracks error message

Try deleting them through the windows explorer folders. Using windows xp you'll get a pop up when the device is recognized on your computer. Click the windows explorer option, then find your sansa in "my computer" If deleting them there doesn't work then I don't know, I'm having some issues with this too. Good luck.

Deleting downloaded songs

The users guide is on the CD that came with it, otherwise you can download it from here;

As for deleting the pre-loaded songs, you can manually delete them from the device while its connected to the PC. Go to My Computer>Device Name (e250)>Music Folder then just right click and delete on the items you do not want.

Best of Luck.

How to upload songs into Sansa E250

Th device may be too full. You need at least 6MB for each GB of music on the device to create the "database" or GUI. Delete a few song, restart the device. Best of Luck.

Deleting songs

If you are using Windows Media Player you can use that. Depends on which version you are using. How to Videos are here; OR you can manually manage the music thru My Computer>Device Name (e250)>Music Folder. Please add to the question if that didnt work. SanDisk Technical Support 1-866-726-3475

I can't remove songs with WMP

You have to first change the USB mode on the player to MTP (as opposed to MSC). Forget using the Windows Media Player (yeah, I know). Go to Explorer, go to drive E or whatever your Sansa is listed it and it will show different types of folders. Go to MUSIC folder. The songs are listed and you can delete, e.g. delete mp3 and keep WMA of the same song, or whatever else you want to delete.

Deleting files from Sansa e250

The only way I know to delete music files or voice or FM recordings, is straight from the User's manual on the CD: 1. Set the e250 to MSC mode. 2. Plug it in to your computer with the USB connector. 3. Open the Sansa e250 drive in My Computer and browse to the MUSIC folder (or RECORD folder)and delete the files there. (That's where you also add music files, by dragging from other explorer windows.) To delete (or add) photo and video files, you have to use the Media Converter, which you install from the disk that came with the e250.
