Question about SanDisk Audio Players & Recorders

Sansa clip has just died

Hi, do you know how a Sansa clip can play one minute and not the next? It played fine in my car through my fm transmitter, I carried it in my pocket for a while and now it will not work at all, never mind not play in the car. I tried charging it up via my computer but the computer does not recognise it. I have not dropped it or mistreated it in any way. Thanks

Apparently the Sansa clip 4gb mp3 has a hardware problem and frequently just stops working. I have asked Amazon for a replacement. Thanks anyway

Will the sansa clip play through my car sterio fm station?

The Sansa itself won't, lacking an FM transmitter. You can buy such devices at just about any department store, however. Most of them draw power through the car's cigarette lighter, and some can even power/charge the Sansa. Make sure you get one that isn't exclusively designed for an iPod, as the power connector on the Sansa is not compatible with that on the iPod. The headphone jack is, of course, universal, and that's where the sound comes out.

My sansa clip won't play the songs I loaded on!

I've had this happen a couple of times in the last 6 months. You can get it to play again by chosing the format option from the settings menu. Of course, then you've lost everything you had loaded on to it. Download your music/audio books again and they will play.

Radio won't play

1) Go into the settings menu, go to FM settings, and make sure the FM Region is set for United States. If you are outside the US, change it to "World"
2) The radio might initially be set for Pause - to test this, turn to a specific radio station that you know you get, and press up on the clickwheel. The "block" icon underneath the radio station should now change to a play arrow, if indeed it was on pause.

Sansa Clip 2gb only plays parts of songs

The songs you have loaded have a restrictive license on them that only allows full playback on a computer, not on an mp3 player. If you only download songs in mp3 format, you will never have this problem.
