First thing is to install the webcam driver , next you will need a program to use the webcam. Common programs are chat programs like Yahoo messenger, Skype and MSN.
But you can also record video with your webcam!

I reinstalled windows and now i'm using windows 7 but my camera wont' work. i downloaded new driver for camera but when i click on it, does't work.

That's the problem with windows 7, it has plenty of driver issues because all the manufacturers of components such as cameras don't have them.

Did you try eMachine's website or the manufacturer of the camera's website?

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "eMachine Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Webcam drivers.

Try using ManyCam.

You can always download Manycam and install it. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "download.cnet.com" (without the quotes). Click on the link to go to the site. When the site opens look down on the left and you will see a gray area that says Find Software. Type "Manycam" (without the quotes) in the white search area then hit the search mirror. When it brings back your results look for the one that says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it and install it. Make sure you remove the check box on any junky programs it would like to install. You only want to install ManyCam, no additions whatsoever during the install. ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use, and you will always know where your webcam software is.

Webcam do nt work

Why does it not work? What is the problem with it?

Is the webcam driver installed in the Device Manager under Imaging Device? Click Start/Control Panel then look for System or System and Performance. Open it and look for the Device Manager. It might be under hardware depending on your operating system. Once you have the Device Manager open look for Imaging Device. If you see it click the + sign next to Imaging Device to expand it to see the webcam. Make sure it says it is working properly.

If you don't see it under Imaging Device then you need to go to the manufacturers website and download the webcam drivers.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Webcam drivers.

Maybe it is installed but you don't know how to start the webcam. There are not buttons or switches to make it start. It is driven by the application software program.

You have to open the webcam software to activate or start the webcam. There is no button to push or switch to turn on. The webcam software is somewhere in the program list. Click Start/Programs then search for any reference to webcam or camera. Sometimes the webcam might be inside one of the manufacturers folders in the program list so search the folders for it. Some manufacturers have something like Entertainment Experience that will open and show all the entertainment devices such as the dvd drive, webcam, media player, etc. if you see it click it to launch it then click on the webcam or camera icon.

Internal web cam can not pull up to take picture or video

Why not? Are you you saying you don't know where the program is that drives the camera?

Look on the desktop and see if there is a camera icon. If not look in your program list. Click Start/Programs and look for any reference to web cam. It might be inside of one of the Toshiba Folders in the program list. I've seen it listed under something like total entertainment experience on some computers.

Your computer must recognize your camera automatically,.
Go to control panel -- device manager and look if they are a device iht a yellow mark .
If have a yellow mark, select and rigt clik "uninstall"
Restart your PC

Try connect in another USB Port

Flash just doesn't work on Kodak Easyshare V1253. whether on automatic flash or flash set to on. Used to have problems with the lens not fully closing, don't know if that helps. All in all, i have...

When you were having that lens problem, did you perchance open the camera case to repair it? If so, please see this link, and afterwards verify that all outer case screws are present and firmly seated (but don't strip them).

If you don't have the software that came with it, go to the manufacturer's website and download it. Since you didn't give any information whatsoever, I can't steer you to a proper link.
