Phaser 8860 prints only on left side of the paper, leaves perfect image on drum of right side.

As per your statement the image formation on drum is ok but prints partial on paper.

The image from the drum is picked by ITB (Inter Transfer Belt) which is a thin plastic like material and the paper passes in between the transfer roller and ITB.
If the ITB unit is not properly aligned to the transfer roller or to the drum the problem will occur as you mentioned. Also check the transfer roller and it contact path.

Faded side of page

It sounds like you have a bad charge transfer roller. This roller is located below the toner cartridge. Open the top and remove the toner. Look under where the toner come out from, you will see a black roller that goes from side to side. The roller should be black, if it appears gray or white that it is worn and is can not transfer the charge properly to the paper so the toner does not transfer either so you get faded print. Do not touch the roller with your bare fingers because the oils on your fingers will damage the roller. You can ge the transfer roller as a part or in a maintenance kit with the paper pickup rollers. It is best to install the maintenance kit if your printer is over a few years old and has not had it installed already. The maintenance roller kit is available here:

Ricoh aficio 1515 printing faded images on one side. Just replaced the drum / toner / hot roller. Same issue when printing and copying What else could cause the problem?

Could be one of a few things:

Most likely is the transfer roller. If it's dirty or old and not applying enough charge, it may not be pulling all the toner away from the drum. Replacing the transfer roller is easy if you can get a new one.

Are you sure you have the correct toner? The wrong toner can definitely cause copy quality problems.

If the springs that hold the press roller against the hot roller are not properly in place (or if they have started to lose tension) the toner won't be fully fused onto the paper.

I'd start with the transfer roller (black roller that sits opposite the drum on the right side door) first -- it's the most likely culprit.

Where do I find the Paper Dust Remover/Ozone Filter and the Transfer Roller Unit?

I believe the filter is located on the right or left side. The "Transfer Roller Unit" is the foam roller inside the right door.

The paper feed will only allow 1 sheet at a time

Try cleaning all of the feed/pick up with warm soap and water. That model has a problem with one of the shafts slipping and coming unseated and getting damaged at the gear end (left side). Open the cover/panel, reach in with your thumbs and spread the black plastic pieces where the pivot/hinge is and lift the cover all the way open. You'll see the roller. The one in question is the thinner one that puts pressure on the fatter roller, and you can see to the right where the busing it rests on is. Make sure there is no play! If so, you'll have to remove it and shim out the right side so it cannot move from side to side once it's mounted. It may just be dirty seperation and need to be cleaned, so make sure you try cleaning all of the rollers with warm soapy water only.

Replace Transfer Roller Error Message Will Not Reset After Replac

The transfer roller on this machine comes as an assembly consisting of a waste toner tank and a transfer roller. The message you are getting pops up when this tank is full, regardless of the transfer roller's useable life. There is a window on the back that when blocked by toner, cuts off an optical sensor to tell the machine that the waste toner is full. Just unclip the roller from the side, pop it out, and dump the toner out. Careful though, it's a messy job and you might want to wrap the assembly inside a trash bag while emptying it out.

Toner mess on one side of paper dell 1720 printer

The transfer roller may have toner on it that is making that mess. Remove the toner and drum, look inside the printer, there is a grey roller towards the back of the printer. Is there toner on the right hand side that corresponds to the print out? If there is, cleaning it may only make it worse. Replacing it would be the best solution. You would want to make sure that the drum is clean after replacing the roller, if it is not ,then it will transfer to this roller once again.

We get a service call0096 on the display screen, the printer is a magicolor 4650dn

Check the 2nd transfer roller assy. This assy. located across from the transfer belt on the right side of the machine when you open that cover the sponge looking roller is the second transfer paper goes between that roller and the transfer belt in side machine, be careful of the belt, check that roller is secure, has it been replaced? If not get tech out to look at it.
