Its a convergence problem in your tv.there are convergence ic called.STK ic which are located on convergence board.there are two convergence ic and you have to replace both the ic.replacing only one ic will not solve the problem.and this ic cannot be repaired.it only can be replaced.the cost of each ic is near to $20.and you can get the required ic from -------
www.radioshack.com or from www.partstore.com ------ to get more details of where the ic is located in the tv and how to remove and replace it.just click this link directly http://cmpalmer.blogspot.com/2006/11/fixing-my-own-tv-part-ii.html -------- also click this link for more details http://home.earthlink.net/~oleg.filippov/ConvergenceFix.htm -------- This will help. IS THERE A REPLACEMENT BULB IN THE 42' SANYO FLAT SCREEN TV

There is no bulb, likely an LED with RG colors. You need to get the right LED part number and replace it yourself if you are handy with a soldering iron.

More than likely your red led is bad I have this model and I have had to replace it twice in the last four years the part is available online and is fairly easy and quick to replace if you are handy with a screwdriver the actual procedure is available in a video on YouTube for replacing it.

Philips 30PW850H 30" TV screen is completely

hi,
normally color crt tvs have three guns such as red green and blue. when the voltage at the cathode any of these guns go to zero that color will lead in the screen.

in ur case the green cathode voltage is low. that's why the is green on all over the screen.
if it suddenly came then there is a possibility of dry soldering in the pcb behind the picture tubes neck. we called it as base board. which consist of three transistor or one ic for cotrolling cathode voltage of the guns .

if u have a soldering iron the open ur tv and try to re-solder components in the base board. mainly the component with three leg ( if transistor). if there is ic it will have more than 6 legs . if you can try to re-solder all the points. Be care-full that dot make short circuit when soldering. after care full soldering power on the tv and watch the scree. you problem Will solved.

if u need any further assistance from me, feel free to contact me through fixya.
ok

Samsung HCN5529W 55in Rear Projection can't Perfect Focus

hello What you have is a convergence problem. There is 2 modules inside your set that aligns the colors to have the same geometry and superposed . It is a common problem in rear projection tvs ,
You don`t have to worry about your blue tube , i`m sure it is perfectly fine, it just needs to be aligned through the convergence circuit.
Most often the problem is with those convergence modules that are faulty and need to be replaced.
Hope this will help good luck

The color on the screen is green when I watch movies. How do I fix this problem?

Good day sir, your inquiry about the green lcd screen can be caused by several things. 1. The monitor/tv produces 3 colors, red green and blue, the tv mixes these three colors to produce the picture. a loss of red and blue produces this green screen. so check the cable, specially the red and blue jack of the component inputs, and the red and blue cable. 2. there may be loose contact on the signal cable. try using the video input instead of the component input. 3. the dvd player may have the problem, check the player component out jack. a loose jack port can cause these problem. hope this may help. thanks

Samsung three colors on screen, out of focus #hcl4715w

It is a convergence problem. The IC's (integrated circuits) or STK chips or the "guns". You have a red,and blue, IC's that provide all the colors. When the colors are out of convergence, you get ghosting or what looks like 3D pictures. I haven't been able to locate the part numbers for the IC's or STK chips but have located a convergence board. No luck determining if IC's are included (a phone call first to verify) but if they are, would make life much easier for you to install. Part # is BP95-00415H http://jr.partsearch.com/Part/Samsung/Samsung/BP9500415H/New.aspx?ModelMfgName=Samsung&ModelBrandName=Samsung&ModelNumber=HCL4715W

Typically, IC's cost around $10 or less. here is a link to a guy who provides pretty good instructions on replacing the IC's along with pictures.

Hope this answers your questions. Best of luck.

convergence chips need to be replaced. if you are handy with a soldering iron, you can fix them yourself with parts from partsstore.com or you can have a technician replace them which is expensive. its cheaper to do yourself

Colors

Hi, This sounds like a color driver problem with the RED. I will assume that the blue is good since yellow will only be present if the green and blue are both ok. Below is a copy of my response to a similar post at http://www.fixya.com/support/t181021-zenith_a25a11d_no_red_color "...If you are comfortable working with a soldering iron, a continuity (VOM) multi tester and a fair knowledge of electronic components, then perhaps you can repair the missing color red. You have to open the unit, expose the small printed circuit board that is attached to the small end of the picture tube. There will be many components present but you will need to focus yourself on three (3) transistors that are bigger than the others sometimes with an aluminum heatsink. It is also possible that instead of 3 transistors you will have one power IC. In any case these control and provide the drive for the 3 colors of your picture tube: red, green and blue. One of them is either dead or suffers from cold solder to any or all of its pins/legs. You have to visually inspect the solder joints of these big transistors/IC and determine if any is dull in color, loose of simply not connected. You may even try the shotgun approach and solder each of the pins/terminals/legs just as long as you don't cross solder creating a short between pins/legs. If this works, you're set, if not: You have to check with the use of the VOM and determine which of the 3 transistor is defective. If you are familiar checking continuity of base to collector to emitter and reverse, again you're set, if not perhaps you check all three and compare which have the same reading from the same position and which is different. Pls keep in mind the transistors have forward and reverse bias readings. If able to determine defective component, desolder, replace and solder. If it were an IC, replace the entire pack. If the above would make you uncomfortable, pls ask for the services of a qualified TV repair man and explain your problem..." Hope this give too an idea. Good luck and pls post again how things are or if you need further information. Kind regards.
