My camera wont turn on or work even after i put brand new batteries in it... whats wrong with it???

If your batteries did not leak at all, and corrode th points where the. Batteries make contact, then it could be something very serious on the main board, or something simple like the on/off switch. Really it's the sort of problem that needs to be seen by someone. I'd check the battery connections first, then make absolutely sure the batteries are going in the right way around. Flat end is - and pointed tip end is +. Good luck

I have an Olympus IS21 35MM camera. ...Battery Drains with a day or two of putting a new one in.

I don't think your camera is running anything when it is shut off, unless you have a phantom power mic that is taking power somehow. If you leave any battery in extreme heat or cold ( like in your car all day) it could drain the battery, but I would suggest leaving the battery unattached to your camera until you need to use it. If your using an older battery that may be the issue as well, batteries build up little issues like that sometimes and you could always just buy a new one and see if that fixes it.

I put new batteries in my camera-but doesnt do anything. I left camera on,I think and then thought batteries died so then replaced with new ones.now nothing works.

This happened to me as well. I took the batteries out and put new ones in three times (same batteries). The third time the camera started working again as soon as I closed the battery compartment and tried on "on" button.

When the camera is powered on it says "change batteries" although i would've just put in new ones.

maybe the one you installed is not matched on your camera, means if it is alkali battery recommend by the manufacturer then use alkali battery. also set the menu you need to tell camera that you installed new battery.

My samsung batteries keep dying. I just put new

Hello :

Try to clean the base where the batteries set . Maybe the base became rusty or got some isolation stuff on it . If that didn't help , then there must be a problem with the main PCB [ printed circuit board ] . For that you need to take your CAM to a repair shop .

good luck .

please don't forget to rate !

Camera shows "exhausted batteries" with new ones.

i have this camera and i had the same problem
everytime i put in new batteries like 5 seconds later the battery was exhusted i tried cheap and expensive batteries but nothing seemed to work
i would recomend rechargealbe batteries because they last longer but if you prefer one-time use batteries you should change they battery type in the menu/ setup

Fuji Finepix E550. Camera working O.K. midway after 18 pictures whenever buton was pressed to take pictures the camera shuts itself off. Batteries new, able to view pictures taken but cannot now take...

Thanks for your prompt reply. The problem has been solved!!!! I put in new batteries and the camera is functioning normally.!!!!!!! It seems the batteries in the camera were old ones and not fully charged. I think its safer to put in new batteries than to use recharged ones !!!!!!
Anyway, thank you once again and have a Happy Christmas.
Gratefully,
Ken

BATTERY EXHAUSTED

Make sure you have the internal menu for the battery selection correct.
Choosing the wrong battery may cause this.

Rechargeable batteries and alkaline batteries are not the same.

This may also be a condition and problem caused by the camera itself, and may need repair.
