I just bought a Panasonic Blu-ray player (DMP-BD605). When I hook up the HDMI to the tv I get green screen (not the normal blue). After going into the set up menu and resetting the HDMI settings several times I eventually get a blue screen and the movie plays correctly. But each time I turn on the unit I have to reset. I get a problem with all the HDMI settings, though eventually I get it reset at 1080i. (1080p produces just fuzz). It's not the tv (Sharp Aquos LC-37GD6U) or the HDMI cable, since they've worked before with no problem. Am I missing a set up option? I've read through the instruction manual--no help there. Or is it a malfunctioning unit that I need to return? Christy

I don't have a cable box--I'm just concerned about watching the movie. So just the connection from the blu-ray to the tv . I watch the rest of my tv on tivo, and use a different tv input.

So, I'm not sure any of your suggestions will work. Which ones should I follow?

If it doesn't work from the blu-ray to the tv, does it mean the unit is faulty?

Press "menu" and "guide" on the box and then you will get the main menu to disable the hdmi over-ride. then over ride the hdmi and then turn the tv off/on then check out. ----------- also try this option 1) Turn off the Cable Box and press the menu setting on the remote till a white screen pops up.
2) Scroll down and disable the overide settings turn to off
Then scroll down to additional hdmi settings and hit enter
Change it from hdmi to dvi
Then exit and turn your cable box back on
Your screen will flicker a bit and then focus back to normal

Now try changing your channels from sd to hd it should be fixed.

CAN THE panasonic dmp bd35 PLAY 3D BLU-RAY DISKS

I understand the DMP BD35 is a normal blue ray disk player and not a 3D. Please see this manual if you want to be doubly sure.
http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMPBD35-MUL.PDF

However something like a DMP BDT360 will play 3D blue ray discs and you can view it on a 3D ready TV.

Why do my dvd show u-73 and won't play when it is hooked to my onky 806 receiver

U73 indicates the unit is not 'handshaking' with the display device via HDMI. Try a different HDMI lead and see if the problem persists. If so, try it with a different display device.

I have a DMP-BD605 Panasonic Blu-ray Disc Player and cannot find the activation code for Netflix. I see Picaso, Weather etc but no menu for Netflix

Well the DMP-BD605 does not support netflix and far as I know it will not. You have to move up to higher class of player on Panasonic blu-ray players. I have a DMP-BD605 and there is no menu for netflix and as far as I know there is no hack or crack to get it on that player..

Hope that helps, but I am sure that is not what you want to hear ..

Blueray screen shows "hello" "play" "dvd" and "setup." I cannot get a display screen or onscreen menu.

What cables did you use to connect the dvd player to the tv? If you used the composite, make sure the yellow is connected to the yellow.
