I have a basic timer with no pins. Can't figure out how to use it.

Looking at timer, it appears as if the following instructions apply.
Since you have the product and instruction sheet, add a comment if your knowledge of the details varies: Your contribution to the fixya community is helpful to others.

To set timer:
Rotate dial clockwise until current time lines up with pointer.
Move red and green pins to hours you want timer to turn on-off.
Pins are non-removable.

Where are the pins on the 59382 outdoor timer

The 'segment pins' mentioned in manual are tiny segments located around outer edge of dial.
There are 4 segments per each hour.
Each segment represents 15 minutes.

Use small screwdriver or fingernail to pull segment up.
When segment is up, timer is OFF
Leave segment down, timer is ON

Timer is 500 Watt.
Timer handles maximum 20 strings of 50 mini-bulb Christmas lights

How do i set it

i think i figured it out. i have the same one. i bought it last year for my christmas tree lights and it worked great. but this year i can't get it right. finally i think i did. u see, since it is hard to read the dial it makes it hard to set the current time and on/off times. i will give u my example: to have the timer turn on at 4pm and off at 11pm: set the timer at 8pm ( the 8 left of the PM mark). set green marker at 4pm (left of the PM mark) set red at 11pm ( left of PM mark and just before the 12am mark. basically i think the dial is backwards so what looks like pm times is not and vice versa. Crossing my fingers, Good Luck!!

Can't figure out how to set Intermatic timer 111c up to nightlight

Hello. I can help you with this times.

Step one - insert the pins at the times you want the night light to come on and go off. The green pins will turn on the night light and the red pins will turn it off. If you just want one on time and one off time just use one pin of each color.

After you have the pins inserted, set the correct time on the timer and plug it into an outlet that is always on [not one that is controlled by a wall switch].

The override switch will turn the device off if it is on, but just one time. As the next time it turns on it will once again be controlled by the times.

If ou want the night light to come on and off in the evening and again in the morninng, use two green pins and two red pins. Push in a green pin at each time where you want the night light to come on and push in a red pin at each time you want it to go off.

Get back if you need additional clarification.
