Re: Will not turn on at all traced voltage (15v) to...

This is a shot in the dark, but I had a similar problem with an IBM. Turn out the Laptop Cover Sensor was stuck in its pushed down position ( The system though the lid was closed, when it was not... ), which sent the system to sleep mode before it could Initialise or get to the CMOS screen.

Hope it helps...

Some liquid sinked neary Power Button of my MacBook Pro sealed; and it does not turn it on normally. Some time it turn on if I keeps pushed power button for about 60-100 seconds at once. Plz advice...

When this happens, you should fully disassemble the laptop & thoroughly inspect its inside. Look for any traces of liquid on the circuit boards & on other components. On circuit boards, liquid damage appears in the form of whitish traces. These needs to be wiped off. This can be done using a tooth brush moistened with few drops of hand sanitizer liquid.
Check all internal connectors & make sure that no liquid seeped into them. Dry them if needed.
When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.
If the liquid fell on the keyboard & you found out that the keyboard is no longer working, then you will have to replace the keyboard.

Sometimes when i try to turn on my compAQ PRESARIO F700 i have to hit the power button numerous times before it will power up and one it went into a reboot cycle where it would never make it past the POST....

the button that you're pushing is then pushing another button on a circuit board. Sounds like the external button that you're pushing isn't making good contact with the button on the circuit board. It may be turning back off while booting up because you've had to push the button so hard to get it to come on that it is getting stuck and holding down the circuit board button - causing it to shut off right away. I'm not guaranteeing that this is the problem, but I've seen it happen before. Some of the older Compaq's had this issue. If you have a mail-button (looks like an envelope) along the top strip by the power button, then try pushing that to turn on your laptop.

It doesnt charge, i cant tell if its the charger or the laptop itself. it seems like something is loose inside the computer but i dont know

If you have a multi-meter, you can find out if the charger is giving voltage. On the "block" portion of the charger, it should have the output voltage (i.e., Output: 15VDC 1.3A). Using the multi-meter, look to see if you are getting 15V DC power

If you are getting power, the problem is with your main board. Also, inspect where the connector goes into the back of the unit...does the connector go in loosely? If so, it's likely the mainboard.

Can u use your laptop with battery only? If not then try removing the battery and use the ac power only. If its ok then your battery need to be replaced. If not then i suggest replacing your ac power or both.

Compaq Armada E500 shut off and won't restart.

The notebook does have an overvoltage and overcurrent protection inside the computer itself. The problem is definitely in your low voltage power supply section of your notebook. Since you do have a multimeter and know how to use it. Take your notebook apart so that you can see the board that your power adapter actually plugs into. Your notebook may just have a normal fuse that you can see is blown since they do make that little popping sound and do not leave any discernible smell of an electronic component that burned or blew up so to speak. That you cannot smell anything like that is good. If you do not see a regular fuse, there are what are called bell fuses that look like miniature glass diodes or resistors but are actually inline fuses. Your entire notebook should not have more than two or three. Sometimes they are made of ceramic, but that is only used for high amperage uses like on plasma screens and such. If the fuse is visible and checks blown try another one and watch it as you power the computer up. If it blows again check your on/off switch without power to your computer to be sure it is not shorted out. Then trace your voltages into your computer with power on and see where you do not get any voltage down the line. It is pretty straightforward in tracing the voltage from your adapter into the computer. Remember though that the intial voltage from the adapter is broken down into smaller voltages for the logic circuits. It is apparent you are not getting any voltage past right inside your computer's power supply and voltage regulator section. You in my opinion have an open circuit instead of a short right now. If you find fuse and it blows again then you have to find the shorted component. Let me know and I will be glad to help further. Good luck.

Turning on problems..

Is the power source a 15v 5a or a 15v 8A? You more than likely have a Dead system board. The blinking amber AC power led usually means a power failure due to improper voltage or amperage.
More than likely caused by a 3rd party (non-Toshiba) adapter.

Sorry for the bad news. :(
