How to change back to Yahoo
Log in to your yahoo mail account
In your web browser go to the yahoo mail home page sign in to your account using your yahoo ID and password, then click the yellow sign in button. Once you've successfully logged in you'll see your email folders on the left and the what's new and inbox tabs in the middle.
Choose the mail classic option
On the upper right side of the page there are three links -- Mobile, Options, and Help. Click Options, and when the drop down menu appears, choose mail classic
Confirm that you want to switch back
A dialog box will pop up with two choices -- switch to yahoo mail classic and cancel. If you're sure you want to switch, click the first option; otherwise, choose cancel to keep the new yahoo mail.

Depending on your computer's speed and your internet connection, the switch may take several seconds. When it's completed, you'll be looking at the old familiar yahoo mail classic interface.

I want to return back to yahoomail classic

Yahoo! has recently made over its email client, Yahoo! Mail. The old standard Yahoo! Mail Classic look has been replaced with New Yahoo! Mail, which offers most of the same features but looks different and is organized differently. Yahoo! Mail users who don't like New Yahoo! Mail, or who simply like Yahoo! Mail Classic better, can switch back to the classic view easily.
Step 1. Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account
In your web browser, go to the Yahoo! Mail home page (http://mail.yahoo.com). Sign in to your account using your Yahoo! ID and password, then click the yellow Sign In button. Once you've successfully logged in, you'll see your email folders on the left and the What's New and Inbox tabs in the middle.
Step 2. Choose the Mail Classic option
On the upper right side of the page, there are three links -- Mobile, Options, and Help. Click Options, and when the drop down menu appears, choose "Mail Classic..."
Step 3.Confirm that you want to switch back
A dialog box will pop up with two choices -- Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic and Cancel. If you're sure you want to switch, click the first option; otherwise, choose Cancel to keep the New Yahoo! Mail. (If you wish to provide feedback about Yahoo! Mail, you can click the feedback link in the dialog box, which will open up a new window.)
Depending on your computer's speed and your Internet connection, the switch may take several seconds. When it's completed, you'll be looking at the old familiar Yahoo! Mail Classic interface.
I hope you're satisfy with my answer.

If you can read this message, you can be returned to Classic Mail. You will have to put up with this issue for a few more days before it will be fully resolved.

Yahoo can manually switch your email back to the old one once you respond to them via email, using the instructions below.

You will need to contact Yahoo at the address below. Please follow these instructions in order to return.

inconvenience this may be causing you. I'd be happy to address this for
you.

If you would prefer to use Yahoo! Mail Classic, I would be glad to
switch your account to that version.

In order to make this change to your account, I will need your written
permission. If you would like to switch to Classic, please reply to this
email with the following information:

* Please confirm that you would like me to switch your account to Yahoo!
Mail Classic

* Please let us know why you would like to switch. We're eager to
understand what features of the newest version of Yahoo! Mail we can
change or improve; and your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience you've experienced; and we
hope we can help improve your experience using Yahoo! Mail.

I hope that with this information your issues have been resolved, if you

I cannot send attachments with my e-mails. I am also unable to look at old emails that have been previously opened. Basically the only thing I am able to do is look at new e-mails and send e-mails...

Hi,

This is a known issue with the New version Yahoo Mail. As a workaround to this problem, you can switch to the older version of Yahoo Mail (Yahoo Mail Classic)

To switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic (Old Yahoo), on your Yahoo Mail page click the Options link in the upper right corner between Help and Mobile, then click the Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic link.

A dialog box might appear asking for feedback. If it does, click Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

How do I get back to classic yahoo mail? I am on some other yahoo program.

Hi,
I first need to ask if you paid to get Yahoo Mail Plus? That doesn't have ads and is different then regular yahoo mail.
If you didn't change to the paid subscription of yahoo mail and all of a sudden yahoo started looking different then here is the reason. It's an article I found on Yahoo Classic.

Yahoo is testing a new layout, but it is not hitting all users at the same time.

"M.yahoo.com" (or another country's equivalent) is not the yahoo.com version for mobiles, but a new site layout which is tested on a couple of users without asking them for their consent first. Some users like it, but most don't. Many are upset as they cannot get to their mails without clicking many different links before they get to read anything.

Note: users reported that clearing the browser cache of cookies and temp files and then typing http://www.yahoo.com/ in the browser window returned the old familiar design in most cases.
