my dishwasher, Miele G2470 SVCi, shows the error code F14. The operator's manual doesn't say what that means. I've noticed that plates and utensils aren't getting cleaned. Any thoughts on what to do?

My Miele dishwasher model: G1220 SCU is also showing Fault Code"F14" but the manual doesn't explain either what the problem is nor how to solve it. I've cleaned out the filter and the spray arms the machine still won't work. It's not the first time we've had problems with it and I wouldn't purchase their products again

When the dish washer is turned on and the cycle is selected, after a couple of minutes a message F14 comes up.

The dishes are not clean and there is a lot of water in the bottom of the machine.

I have read the Operating Instructions and there is no F14 in the book.

Old thread but Slav Step is right. Error F14 in my case it was a little packing foil inside the impeller of the water circulation pump. Because the foil the pump pressure was decreased an the pressure sensor return pressure to low an the control unit returns F14. For cleaning i have to dismount the pump from the bottomside of the dishwasher. It's a little bit tricky, lot of tubes an connectors have to remove first. For cleaning it's allready enough to pick out the dirt of the impeller with tweezers. Open the pump is not recommended because it's may not reversible. Don't mistake the circulation pump with the little waste water pump wich you can see from inside the washer underneath the filter cover. The ciculation pump is the thing with the big motor. You can only dismount it from bottom side. The pressure sensor is stick into the pump housing. You can pull it by lifting the to little brackets. Maybe there you find also be some things wich should not be there.

How to put a Miele Dishwasher into Service Mode posted by rajbot on December 19th, 2007 1 Comment)-->
Our newly-purchased Miele dishwasher was DOA. We had to call the service department, who sent out someone to repair it the same day. When we called, they had us put the dishwasher into service mode, which will tell you which error (”technical fault”) is causing your dishwasher to fail.
These instructions are for a G2140* model Miele Dishwasher

  • turn off dishwasher
  • hold start
  • turn on dishwasher with start button still pressed
  • release start button
  • press start button 3 times, quickly, holding it in the last time, until the Start/Stop light flashes (no other lights should be flashing)
  • Start/Stop should flash for four seconds
  • press program button.
  • This should cause the rinse LED to flash in a series of long and short blinks. Count the long blinks. Those are the tens digit of the fault. The short blink are the ones digit. For example, ours flashed one long blink and four short blinks, which meant we had a F14 fault.
  • You’ll have to figure out what the faults mean. We only know that F14 means “Water intake fault with heater or circulation pump”, or something like that. Our circulation pump was clogged.
  • Now, to delete the fault, press and hold the start/stop button for five seconds.

F14 code Miele Dishwasher

This fault is low pump pressure. more than likely you have some foreign particles jammed in the circulation pump. you would have to remove the unit, tip it on its side and remove the bottom plate and remove the circulation pump and clear the blockage. the unit will start and stop and not work until the pump is clear.

Whirlpool duet washer keeps flashing f14

"F14" is an EEPROM error on the Central Control Unit (CCU). The CCU is the main computer for the washer. This error is normally caused by a power glitch and can be cleared by unplugging the washer for 2 minutes. If the error code reappears, the CCU has to be replaced.

The F14 error is an EEPROM error for the central control unit. It's likely you'll need a new CCU board. Check your owners manual, some models have up to a 5 yr. parts warranty on the CCU.
