Question about Kenmore 73502 / 73504 / 73509 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
I replaced the dual valve water inlet with no luck resolving my problem
i checked the water line from the valve to the back of the freezer and it is clear.
the water fountain on the door is fully operational.
i removed the power harness from the fountain and switched it to the icemaker side of the valve to check if both valves are working, when u power that harness by pushing on the water fountain the valve then sent water up to the ice maker.
my problem lies in getting power sent to the water valves to pump the water up to the ice maker.
i dont know where to go from here.
any help would be greatly appreciated!!
The water solenoid valve is normally triggered by the ice maker itself. as it turn to harvest the ice, it should trigger the water solenoid valve to start another cycle of ice making. its either a wire harness problem that's why power is not getting to the valve or the triggering switch of the ice maker not sending power to the solenoid. i hope i was able to help you guys...
