Question about Cameras
If the lens are not focusing correctly, and the camera goes properly out of focus, then that is a lens error. It can caused by a faulty motor, a mechanical problem or a defective control board.
If instead you get a completely jumbled picture, made of shadowed blurred images, then you have a faulty CCD sensor.
CCD sensor is the part that captures light to generate the digital picture.
In both situations the camera must be disassembled and fixed by a technician.
Call Fuji at the number listed on the owner manual and ask a quote on repair.
If the problem is the CCD sensor, point out that you did not do any improper use of the camera, in some case the customer service may acknowledge that this is a factory defect and cover part of the repair cost.
