Question about VMware P2V Assistant 2 Starter Gold (A432537)

1 Answer

Cranking i tried to crank my car but all it is doing is click every time i turn the ignition(nothing). 3 months before i noticed it clicking maybe once or twice before it actually cranked. 3 days before it actually died on me i smelled what seemed to be burning wires. i looked beneath and noticed that some wires running to the (starter) i guess maybe the ones that were smoking. because of the blackness that was on my hand when i felt it.

Yep....unless you are a mechanic you need to take it to a repair shop (does not sound like you are). The click click is indicative of a starter problem....if a wire burned (and it was any one of those to the starter the starter would probably not have worked at all...sure the blackness was not grease oil and roaddust mixed together.

probably forgot to reinstall camshaft sensor which located on timing cover or forgot to reconnect camshaft sensor because crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor work together to control fuel timing and spark timing.make sure ignition coil getting 12 volts.

My 2006 buick lacrosse wont start radio and lights work but its not saying nothing when i try to crank it

Hello! Do you hear a click when the key is turned?...If no click is heard either the ignition key, the Crank relay, the starter, or the battery are suspect...Having lights and radio does not mean the battery is capable of running a starter motor......Put a meter on the battery...should read 12.5 volts...Turn key...Does voltage drop to 8 or 9 volts? Bad battery...If all is well with battery and connections to it...Check the starter fuse # 33 in the under hood fuse/relay box...If the fuse is good that click you should hear is from the Crank Relay in that box...If all of the above is OK connect your meter to the Purple wire that is connected to the starter motor...When the key is turned 12 volts must be on that wire...If there is the starter motor is defective...So, #1...Do you hear a click when key is turned...That would point at a bad starter or weak battery...#2...If you do not hear a click bad fuse #33, bad Crank Relay, bad ignition switch...#3...If fuse is good Bad Crank Relay or Ignition switch; Crank Relay is a low cost item ($10)...Replace Relay...Stop there and send a comment as to results...Guru...saailer

My Car has been sitting for 2 months on "E" but i have cranked it 3 times out of the 2 months and it started fine. then i cranked it again later, it started an i drove but i shut the car off...

There could be 2 reasons for this. One is that the fuel pump burned out (you would be able to recognize this if you turn the ignition key over and get close to the gas tank you will hear it spinning). The other is there is a sensor on the bottom of the gas tank that reads when you are completely out of gas and you will need to contact the dealer on how to get it reset. Hope this helps you out! Have a good one!

When you turn the key to start position that 2 or 3 times does starter click? or does it do nothing? If it clicks starter selanoid on starter is bad, If it don't click at all its ignition switch thats bad.

Engine will not crank intermitantly

Crank sensor can translate heat. Not allowing restart after the turbo heat radiates in the area. Try a wad of aluminum foil in front of the crank sensor(on the block behind the turbo) . It protects it from heat and its a cheep test. If this works you can make a better sheild or leave the foil.
