There should be screws that's holding the stand for the base plate. Find the screw at the back and use a philips scredriver to unscrew it. Try lying the front of the tv flat (make sure that the surface is padded, so as not to damage the tv) when you unscrew it, or even lie it upside down just to take out the screws. You will find it more difficult to take out the screws if you do it with the tv standing up.

How do I remove the base stand to wall mount a Samsung model T24C55OND flat screen TV

The wall mount attaches to the top 1/3 portion of the TVs rear panel. The bottom of the back of the TV should not interfere with your wall mount if it's the correct size. Full instructions are listed starting at page 39 of the manual.

I am trying to wall mount my LG M197WDP - PZ 19'' TV but it has an ugly spigot that fixes to the free standing base. How can I remove this spigot? Thanks Dave

It's simple!
Step 1: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the red plate off the bottom.
Step 2: Pop the red plate off (May need some persuasion! It should pop straight out, there is nothing else holding it in place, but be careful)
Step 3: Unscrew the four screws holding the spigot in place, and remove the spigot.
Step 4: Screw the 4 screws bach in place.
Step 5: Screw the red plate back into place.
Step 6: Enjoy!

Picture remains for few seconds then screen goes blank, sound remains on

I had this problem on my 42" Philips LCD. Just got it yesterday and worked fine on the tv stand. As soon as I mounted the TV to the wall via wall mount system, I had the exact same issue you did. Figured it out today.

The wall mount was putting pressure against the center of the back of the tv (tv set had a slightly rounded back plate, and the mount was a flat plate). As soon as I put spacers (part of the wall mount hardware set) between the wall mount braket and the tv so there was no contact except at the mounting holes, the tv worked fine.

My theory is the pressure pushed the tv back plate against some board components which caused them to overheat (no air flow); or put pressure on internal connectors. I dont know.

Hope this helps, may not apply to your situation.

How to remove stand from a samsung syncmaster 910mp

It's usually 2 screw at the base of the TV, at the rear. Loosen or remove the screws and the base should slip right off

LN37A550 FLAT SCREEN TV

To remove the base stand, place the TV face down on a smooth surface. Place a cloth underneath it to protect the screen. Remove the 4 phillip screws from the stand. The stand can now be removed. The set can with a cover plate you can use to cover the opening.
See page #86 in the User Manual.

How can i take the bottom stand of my monitor before i mount it t

Generally speaking, LCD monitors have a plastic cover that snaps onto the back side which covers the hinge and screws holding the base plate 'post' to the monitor. Remove the cover, and remove the screws. The post that engages the base plate will come off with the hinge intact.

Cannot find VESA holes...Samsung Syncmaster 970p

I have looked at the specification for this, and although it does show as being VESA compatible (This is a display standard) There is no mention of any "wall mounting" capabilities at all, which would lead me to believe that this is not designed to be put on a mount. also the "Magic Rotation" Technology which is part of this device may rely on it using the proprietory stand, it may well be possible to remove the stand however, but it would require some significant dissasembly as the power connector is on the signal box, and this would need to be seperated from the stand itself. The mounting bolts look to be hidden behind the round pivot cover on the back, and it may be possible to see if mounting is possible simply by removing this, however I would seek information from the manufacturer about this as removing any of the covers would most likely invalidate your warranty, it is possible that this was missold to you and you should be able to take it back as not being fit for purpose.
