My Acer Lappy turns off automatically!

Hi Sir/Ma'am,
I got an Acer Aspire 5630-6288 lappy about 6 months back and now I have this problem where my Laptop getts suddenly shut down without any notice while I am working!

Then again, when I restart it, the system again works for about 20 minutes and then it turns off again

It gives no error message before shutting down!
Everything blacks out all of a sudden!
I have using the Recovery Disk but this didnt help!
What do I do?

Thanking you in anticipation,

Re: My Acer Lappy turns off automatically!

This could be a heat issue. Make sure that nothing ( eg dust) is blocking the air vents.

Alongside cleaning out the fan, try use your laptop on a hard surface, not your lap! Don't put anything like a pillow underneath. Use it on a flat hard surface and the heat has chance to escape!

Acer aspire 5715z dvd drivers

If you have recovery in my computer or in c:\ drive where a folder should be ACER you will have an option to reinstall applications or drivers

Another option
depending on how they got deleted you might be able to go to add new in control panel then once you click yes already installed a box will appear and scroll to see if you see the driver highlight then next and follow instruction
when option appears for automatically install click yes
let me know if this helped

Outputing to an external monitor

Hi Coupon,

Connect your external monitor to your PC. Reboot. If the monitor don't show your desktop. you may have to turn the option on. In the lower row of keys, is one called Fn. It is a specific color. Hold that and look at the top row of key. You should see marking, the color of the FN key. one will show your lappy screen, and a monitor. Tap that one. Usually, each tap moves to a different option. First tap is Laptop screen only, next one is monitor only, another is monitor and laptop screen.
Then right click on your desktop, in a clear area.
Go to properites>Settings and your should see both your screens. Here you can make one your primary, by click on the screen you want as your primary, (I suggest the lappy) and click the box, Make this the primary. Then click on the box names Extend my Desktop. This allows you to move your mouse and Windows, to either screen.
If your lappy doesn't have a Vga out port, a blue one, on the back, you will have to get a USB video card, but they are rather expensive!

Good Luck!

Screen freaks out when i move it

Sounds to me as though the Cabling going through the casing from the screen to the main board may have been damaged somehow? This is a common problem I have seen quite a bit.. If it is this then to fix it is a bit of a mission.. ya have to get a new "Correct" Cable from ya PC parts supplier, then disassemble the Lappy, reinstall the new cable and reassemble the Lappy.. Otherwise it is off to the PC repair shop for a "Quote" on the repair and an explanation of what they found..
