Faulty cordless phone handset

Brand new phone ordered online, can make and receive calls but microphone doesn't work. People cannot hear me on the other end even on speaker phone. Everything else works ok.

An initial simple check you can make is to make sure that the secrecy or mute button is not activated or stuck, however as you say that the phone is brand new, I would strongly advise you to contact the vendor immediately and ask for it to be replaced as it is faulty.

When i make or receive a call with my magicjack they can;t hear me


Hi,

When using the MagicJack are you using a phone handset that you know has a working microphone in the handset.

Test the phone in a normal phone plug.

If the phone works the you need to talk with support at MAgicJAck as your device might be faulty

If they cannot help take up the 30 day free return option and swap it for a new device.

Why can't the caller hear me?


First, call a different number and see if its your phone or the receiver's phone. Second, if they can't hear you, this could mean that your phone line was improperly connected. Get another phone to check if your line works both sending and receiving; (have someone call you back). (Good idea to keep an old fashioned corded phone as a back-up in case of power failure.) If the line checks out, then the phone's microphone is faulty. If under warranty, contact Uniden. If not, chuck it. Although unrelated, remember cordless phone batteries only last two years so plan on replacing them.

Cordless handset doesn't work, a new battery doesn't fix the problem. Where can I purchase a compatible cordless handset to work with this phone 27958GE1-B


Each handset is programmed or set to the matching frequency of the base phone and so if the handset does not mesh up then the intertransmitting frequency is not correct and is not locking.
Hence you need to check up with your dealership/ support center of your make to confirm and order a new one or the cost of a new cordless phone will work out cheaper which must be considered.

My att cordless phone mics went dead - on all three handsets!!! People call in, I can hear them and they can hear me. I call out, I can hear them but they cannot hear me. Any fixes? Phones are barely 3...


It's not that the handsets have bad mics, the problem is in the base unit. That's what's sending audio into the phone line, and something has gone wrong there. Try unplugging the power from the base and give it a minute, then reconnect the power. This will allow the computer inside to reset and may straighten out the trouble. If it doesn't, you're probably best off replacing the system.

AT&T doesn't say anything on their site about service, just to call their Customer Support and Service Center at 1-800-222-3111 for more information. If your phone is out of warranty, it's probably easier and maybe less expensive to buy new.

The speaking function of my handset doesn't work. I can hear the other party but the other party cannot hear me.


the problem is your hand phone microphone, it located on your phone motherboard (in some brands) the solution is you need to replace your microphone with a new one.
just bring it to service center and it won't cost much

Using Cordless Internet Handset with MSN Messenger


If you're running the sound test through Skype's options and you click on the make a test call option, then you won't hear anything through the handset. I had the same problem and I spent a few hours trying to figure out why it wasn't working. In the end I found out it was actually working all along.

What you need to do is add the Skype contact echo123 to your contact list. It should be the first one in the list from the United Kingdom.

Once that's done you should be able to bring it up on the contact list through Skype and initiate the call through the Handset at which point it will work properly and you should be able to speak to and hear the test call. That was the only way I was able to verify that it was in fact working properly.

I have the same problem with a 25932 phone, and the instructions packaged with my unit was for the 25922 series. How serious are these people?
