If you bought this vehicle new, in your owners information packet (all the books and pamphlets) you will find instructions on how to use the code provided. The code is usually on a separate, removable sheet inside the owners manual. If you do not have this information, the only way to get the code is from the dealer. You must be able to prove legal ownership of the car before they will help you with this. Good luck!

I have a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser. Car radio am/fm work fine when ignition is in Accessory position, but when you start engine nothing but static.
It the static increases when you rev up, it is likely to be suppression on the alternator. If it doesn't check the antenna connection on the radio. There are other ideas here. The best bet is to go to a car radio / alarm installer.

Need car radio code for a Chrysler P T Cruiser
Unfortunately, these Chrysler codes are not available anywhere on the Net for free. However, you can get these codes from the serial number here.

I have always found them cheap and reliable.

As yours is one of the older Chrysler radios you need to provide them with the part no. as well as the serial no. They will email the code right back to you on the same day.

I can vouch for them as I use this site for units I repair that occassionally need a code.

PT Cruiser radio
If you have the right code for radio, you just be waiting (acc on) so long time that you can enter the code.

If you turn acc "off" the counter is starts at beginning in next time when you turn acc "on".

I had once same problem, so I took the radio from car, connected to 12V power supply over night. Next morning I enter code and radio was ok.
