Remove the food and the ice maker from the freezer . Remove the rear freezer panel . Using a hair dryer , start in the middle , below the coils , defrosting , until you see the drain hole . Use hot water to help defrost the hole . Once water starts going thru the hole , use a small hose inserted into the hole , and blow thru , to remove any unseen debris in the drain line . Use an ALUMINUM or COPPER solid wire , 14-16 guage , with the insulation completely off , and insert one end into the drain hole as far as possible without any force . Wrap the other end about 1 1/2 to 2 turns , around the black rod (defrost heater) , above the hole . When refrig goes into defrost , the heat will transfer from the heater , to the wire , keeping the hole from freezing up again .

Water Pooling & Freezing

Assuming your fridge has a defrost cycle ( I.e. is a frost free model), you are probably suffering a blocked drain hole or pipe, leading to the top of the condenser or a tray nearby, where the frost water can evaporate.
The pipe can block with food or a mould plug, leading to water retention that freezes and further blocks the drain. the water is produced when a heater switches on in defrost mode and thaws the internal or external ice build up and, with nowhere for it to go it will pool on the bottom and may, when in defrost mode, run out onto the floor.
With frost free fridges/freezers, there is a drain outlet, usually hidden behind a removable panel inside the fridge/freezer compartment or, a drain hole near the bottom. If there is a drain pipe as well, access is usually from the rear base of the machine. The pipe is usually removable and can be cleaned out but prepare for some water to escape. An ice block in the drainage hole can be thawed using a hair dryer BUT GENTLY, so as not to warp the plastic inners of the fridge.

Gd5sha water under the freezer

This normally occurs when you have a large buildup of ice in the freezer, when it does a defrost there is just too much water for the hat on the compressor to handle. Make sure the door to the freezer & fridge is closing properly & the seal is in good condition & not falling off, moisture in the air causes frost in a freezer. So too many door openings can cause the same problem.

Whirlpool refrigerator is leaking water

If the water is pooling around the bottom of the fridge I would pull the fridge out and pull the panel of the back of the fridge and check to make sure the black plastic drain pan is in place and the white or clear plastic hose coming from the bottom of the fridge is aimed at the drain pan, if they are not then that would be why you have water pooling up under the fridge. Generally the Walter gos into the drain pan after defrost and the heat from the discharge lie of the compresser evaporates the water and it should never overflow. Hope this helps

Pooling of water in fridge compartment of my Neff fridge/freezer

The defrost drain is clogged. Defrost drains usually get there clog right behind the back freezer panel. Remove this to get to the defrost drain and remove all built up ice and clear the drain and you should be fine. Hope this helps.

Why is water is pooling at bottom of the fridge

WATER LEAKING FROM REFRIGERATOR OR INSIDE THE FREEZER OR FRESH FOOD SECTION
You have a blockage in your condensate defrost line or the pipe that fill the tray below the refrigerator is missing the condensate collector pan that uses the heat from the fan to evaporate the condensate back into the air inside your home.

Water leaking from freezer

During the defrost cycle heaters inside the walls of the freezer turn on to melt the frost. The melted frost "water" is supposed to drain into a pan under the fridge where it will evaporate. I think the drain line from the freezer to this pan may be blocked. I'd also check the seal on the freezer door. If it's not sealing well it lets a lot of moisture into the freezer which means more water during the defrost cycle.

I have water pooling on my fridge trays and than turning into ice . The water seems to be coming from the vents. How do i get rid of that.

The freezer compartment has a drain hole behind the back wall inside the freezer compartment. The drain hole has probably rusted and has gotten larger. Carefully remove the icemaker and the screws from the back wall inside the freezer compartment. Lift the bottom of the back wall and look to see if the drain hole has gotten larger. You can make a small funnel from an aluminum can to fit over this area directing the water into the drain tube. It worked for me. good luck. Dave.
