It's not an adjustment.Chances are it's your vert. output i.c.or a surrounding component.Chip # is TDA8172.

You probably have the internal speakers turned off. Here's a link to the PDF file of your TV Manual:

Page 46 of the manual describes how to switch the audio (TV's speakers) on and off.

My RCA F36648 36" TV has only the bottom half of my picture working. The top half has horizontal lines that distorte the picture. It looks like when you pull a rake through the sand the lines that are left...

You have vertical output problems. There is distortion at the top because of a faulty vert. output i.c. or a faulty electrolytic capacitor. It's possible there may be a problem at your yoke also.It needs a professional repair.

Have you tried just hoooking up the DVD player by itself? Is the DVD player output setting correct? Also, make sure the "video input" is set for the correct channel that you are viewing (i.e. Channel 3).

Resolution

Horizontal resolution: 705 lines

This TV is NOT High Definition but the picture is as close to HD as you can get. It also has 1 S-Video and 1 Composite port which gives a GREAT picture! I have owned this TV for about 8 years and still love it!
