I have a Dlink DIR-615 wireless router. Everything will be working fine on my laptop and then I'll click on Mozilla or Explorer to search for something on the Internet and the page reads "server not found." At the same time I can still use Skype to make calls from my laptop and I can still send and receive email through Outlook. Other times I loose all connections to the Internet - no Skype, no email, no search engines. To reconnect I have to unplug the wireless router, disable the wireless on my laptop, wait a minute, plug the wireless router back in, wait another minute and enable the wireless on my laptop. Kind of defeats the purpose of having wireless... Any suggestions?
Does your computer connect to the Internet okay at other wireless locations? Make sure you have the latest drivers in your laptop for the wireless network adapter. You should also verify that you have the latest Windows updates installed.
Is your computer sometimes used in a business network?? If so, make sure the "use proxy" setting has been disabled in your browser when using the dlink router.
Check the D-link website at http://www.dlink.com/products/support.asp?pid=565&sec=0#firmware to verify that you are using the latest version of firmware on your router. If it has any known problems, a firmware upgrade could fix it.
Let me know if you need more details on any of these points. Hope this helps!

We have a 3000 sq ft split level house, so range is critical (could we extend range with antennas, access points)?
Stability and reliability are also critical
We use a comcast cable modem
Must support mixed environment - 2 Macs connecting wirelessly, 2 PCs (1 with a wired connection)
We all want to be able to share a printer (which will connect to router with a wired connection)
Network attached storage, media streaming - I'm not worried about these now, looking for basic connectivity. Though would be great if I could grow into this in the future...
