Take the element to any appliance parts store. They can match it to a usable element.

Kenmore electric oven will not bake

The bake element
is the heating element that is found at the bottom of the oven. Most electric ovens use both the bake element and the broil element in a bake cycle, with the bake element performing 90% of the heating. If the bake element isn't working, the oven may not heat. To help determine if the bake element is defective you should first do a visual check. If the element is blistered or separated then it should be replaced. If the element appears to look normal, then turn the oven on to a bake function for a minute and then turn it off.

Check the element for signs of heating and if it is still cold then it may be defective. Disconnect the power and then remove the back panel. First check the wires as they may have become loose or corroded. If the element appears to be fine visually, test it for continuity with a multi-meter. If the element is burned or no longer has continuity, it will need to be replaced.

The bake element (in over) will no longer get hot, should the element itself be replace or could it be something else? Range model RS675PXEQ0

It does sound like the bake element is probably the problem. Many ovens turn on the broil element with 120 volts to even out the heat in the oven or pulse the broil element. This may be why the oven is warm but not baking.

Oven issues. when on bake does not come one but when on broil it does. stovetop works fine

Hi, W/D here.

The problem is that your baking (lower) element is broken and needs to be replaced. This can be done by yourself.
1. Trip the breaker.
2. If the stove unplugs, unplug it. Verify that all power is off. If you have a meter, test the power at the leads to verify that the circuit is "dead".
3. Gain access to the bottom element and disconnect it.
4. Take your old one with you to your local appliance parts supply house (they'll have an exact replacement, and are much faster than ordering one through Sears).
5. Re-assemble in reverse order.
Best regards,

Oven takes 20 minutes to fully heat on bake - Kenmore oven plt095-2

if its a gas model most of the time you will have a weak oven ignitor. if an electric, check to see if the bake element gets hot ,some ovens will bake with upper and lower elements so if only the upper works it will take much longer to pre-heat.good luck!

When we moved into this home in 1985, it was 7 years old, and all appliances were Sears Kenmore brand. All died within 6 months. Have never entered a Sears store since. Sorry to be a spoil-sport. We have, ever since, purchased at a local appliance store.

Hello. I can help you.

Usually, when an oven won't bake, it's because the bake element is burned out. The bake element is the black, pencil- thick tube at the bottom of the oven. When the oven heats, the element glows red. This element has an expected life-span of several years. It may last for only one; it may last for many more. When the element burns out, you need to replace it.
Since it is a Kenmore you can get the part at Sears.com. You can price the part there. I can assure you that a technician will charge you at least $125. to do that repair. If the range is old, you may wish to put that money toward a new stove.

Kenmore electrical oven

Trying to better define the problem....

Do you have any cuts, holes or "shorting" or tin-foil/aluminum around your bottom bake heat-element? If so, you may need to replace the baking Heat Element. (Ensure you do not use aluminum foil around your heat element to prevent your oven from getting dirty)

To replace your baking heat element, with power off; remove 2 screws securing the bake element. Slightly tug and pull towards you for about 3 inches or so and disconnect the connecting wires at each end. Then completely remove the heat element and install new in reverse manner. Whats' you're model number?
