Try the wii on a different TV. You can try replacing the audio video cables.

You can hear the wii menu music, but there is no picture.

reseat the cables onto the Wii and also your TV. Make sure the Video and audio are connect to the audio and video input on your tv. Also make sure that you are using the correct channel, if your using video 1,2, or 3 that your tv is set to the correct one on screen.

If you still dont get video then try another set of AV cables. If that still doesn't work then the mainboard inside of the Wii is bad and would need to be replaced.

Which conections for the video and audio cables should be used for the Wii? I put them into the side panel (because of easy access), but can not get the start screen for wii after all is turned on....

once you have matched up the wii audio and video cables to the side panel yellow for video
white and red for audio
thinking you plugged them into one of your tv's av slots
now use your tv remote to switch through your tv's inputs (av1) (av2)
some tv's have a button like that on the tv itself.

Black wii screen but can hear it

Your cables still could be going bad, even though everything else is fine I would go to a gamestop and buy a used cable and see if that works or go buy a brand new one.

My wii has nothing but a black screen when i turn it on

verify that the a/v cables are hooked up properly to your tv and that your tv is set to the correct input so you can see the video and hear the audio.

If you have already done this then go ahead and use a different set of A/V cables to make sure your using a good set.

If after this you still get a black screen then your mainboard inside of your Wii is bad and would need to be replaced.

Fuzzy TV Screen

The Wii requires updated Tv's that can handle the graphics. Make sure that the A/V cables are securely in and try using another TV.

New system - no color on screen

the cable colors have to match the tv ones if you have different colors on cables then look for the label on the cables saying video or audio (red)=audio (white)=other audio (yellow)=video EXAMPLE if the cable colors are different than the tv then if the label on the cables say video and the color is blue etc. then you have to put it on the yellow putin on the tv no matter the color. If it dosent work then try holding the cables in many angles try pulling them or anything unlit they work get something to hold them up if that dosent work then i think you should buy new cables. Maybe what you should do is try unplugging the wii, or you might have bad cords, my last piece of advice is maybe the audio cords are messed up?
