Question about ASUS PW201 LCD Monitor

Menu buttons acting up

The Problems that I have with the monitor is that the monitors control buttons act up without me touching them. The monitor switches from vga to dvi, changes its brightness to 100%, opens the menu, and shuts off after 5-10 minutes. (they also dont respond when I push them) If I unplug the monitor and plug it back in it will go back to normal for a few minutes then go through the same thing. What part needs to be fixed on my monitor?

Viewsonic VX2035WM monitor buttons no longer working

Most common failure in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed VIEWSONIC and ALL monitors to get some ideas what goes wrong:
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Monitor will not turn off and keeps flashing the words Auto processing

it is not a bad rom. if it was a rom it would constantly act up but it only acts up upon overheating. The solution is difficult but if you open the monitor you can find all of the heatsinks take them of and replace them with bigger ones. or have a fan blowing on it at all time it is active i added bigger heatsinks to my emachine le1799 and it solved this problem of pulling up menu and changing setting by itself and the lack of the ability to turn power of.

Power button won't turn off monitor

Problem is made by switches which are bad quality, you have to take your monitor to the nearest samsung service center or if you want you can change this switches by yourself. You can find them in conrad stores named phap3363 and 700310 - 62.
