From the power switch usually two cables come out,you need to connect those cables to the motherboard,if that is not feasible then you cant adjust your motherboard in a new no such connecters are available in the market for this.
Thanks for contacting

No beep at start up

Could be a grounding issue. Remove the mother board from the case, and place on a piece of cardboard. Plug in the power supply, memory, monitor and power switch if it will reach (if not then you will need to short the jumper were the power switch plugs in with a small screw driver). Once set up, power on the mother board, you should get a no hard drive error, since we did not plug it in. If this does work, you will need to go the hardware store and pick up some rubber or paper washer to place between the mother board and the case.

Acer aspire x3810 will not switch on properly - monitor registers "no signal" and then goes into standby

Try a known working monitor. The onboard video may be defective and you may need to buy a video card. Take out the memory and reseat it, as it may have gotten loose. I hope this helps. Good luck and have a great day.

M5640 power comes on no video. changed motherboard and power supply

I assume you are using the integrated video, (on board). With a new power supply and motherboard you have eliminated all but the monitor. Try a different monitor. I have also seen a case where a computer tower worked fine in one setup with a flat screen, but when hooked up to an older CRT monitor it would not display because of the resolution settings.

Where do i plug in the components from the computer case on my motherboard?

There are a few things you will need to plug: HDD LED, POWER LED, POWER SWITCH, RESET SWITCH. There are others such as USB and Audio. All of the pins locations and settings should be available on the motherboard manual. The pins should usually be located near the battery on your motherboard. ALL of the pin's settings will be labeled underneath the pins, but often hard to see, that's why I recommend reading the manual. The USB, if you have ones that are all separate connectors, goes like this: [+5V/VCC/Power] [D+] [D-] [GND].

Im trying to install dell i530 into Xion II case but cant figure out how the power switch led hooks up?

All of the pins locations and settings should be available on the motherboard manual. The pins should usually be located at the very bottom. ALL of the pin's settings will be labeled underneath the pins, but often hard to see, that's why I recommend reading the manual. All of the switches and LED pins will be different on different motherboards. The USB, if you have ones that are all separate connectors, goes like this: [+5V/VCC/Power] [D+] [D-] [GND]. USB and audio will always be the same.

Aspire m-5620 desktop shut down wont power up

Try opening the computers case and resetting the BIOS Battery
Now BEFORE you open the computer do the following:-
(1 Unplug the computer from ALL conections (2 Touch the metal case on the computer to get rid of any static electricity. Static + Computer = Dead Computer so be sure not 2 have static electricity when operating on computer.
Now we may begin!
Now once you open your computer find some thing called the BIOS Battery. Now it's a CR2032 Battery which is the type people use in tamagotchis and pocket LED lights. It will be silver and round and about the size of a camera lens. Now find a clip or something holding it in place. Push that clip and the battery will pop out. AVoid touching the motherboard witch is the big board that the BIOS Battery is on. It wont damage anything by touching it by just try not to.
Now wait about an hour.
Once youve waited around an hour put the BIOS Battery back in. Switch on your computer and hey presto we have bootup. Now your computer will say something like press F2 to setup BIOS or Press Escape to run deafult settings. Just stick with the deafult settings.

Long beeb sound

find out what brand your motherboard is and look for the beep codes, each motherboard is different but these beeps are there to tell you the problem. if it isnt turning on when you press the button it is most likely a power supply problem like you said and you should try reconnecting all the power connectors to the motherboard and make sure everything is in place. also look for the voltage switch on the back and make sure it isn't at the wrong voltage that has happened to me more than once ;)
