How do I replace round hay baler belt fasteners?I have the fasteners, some manual machine to squeeze the fasteners onto the belt ends, and have been told to use a vise, but I need to hear better instructions. Thanks!
Depending on model of baler/belts you would shave of enough rubber to get a smooth surface.then put tool in vise with fastener in it,be sure pin is in slot when crimping or fastener teeth will not be squared up in belt and make it hard to get belt pin lined up when putting back together. Is there paper along each side of fastener? If so leave it there until done crimping.
I agree with him. If you do what he says the baler belt should go on smoothly. He seem to know what he his doing. My cousin had this same question. And it seemed to work for him.

Hi there, can I suggest if you want to put in fasteners quicker and less effert than using a vise try the MLT MS25 fastener. All you need is a cordless screwdriver to install the baler belt when in the shed or out in the field.
All the best, Steve
