Without seeing it its a little tuff.
Ok,look at the back side of the inverter, there should be two inputs. One negative- and one postive+.Run the biggest wire you can get to fit in the holes and still lock it down tight, probaly about six gauge wire.
On the hot side +,run the red wire to the battery, but before you connect to the battery, attach a line fuse,Thirty amp should do.Leave fuse out till last step.Run a black six gauge wire to the battery.(You should be able to run the wires through one of the factory rubber grommets on your van,use a stiff wire, or something like a car or cb antenna to attach your wire to the antenna with electrical tape.you may need to cut a **** in the grommet ,so you can push the antenna threw.Be careful not to damage any factory harness wires.)
Secure the inverter to floor of van, make sure the fan can vent well.
Go to battery put in your thirty amp fuse,Then the unit is ready to turn on.Make sure you run your engine while it is powered on,otherwise it wont take long to drain your battery.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the help. I was also told for a 1750 watt that I should have 2 deep cylce batteries as well is this true?"

That would be good to have a bigger battery bank,IF you need it.

It depends on how many things you are going to be powering up off your inverter. This also affects the size of the in line fuse to the battery. The more things you run off your inverter, the more amps you use from the battery. the chart on this page should help you determine your fuse size and if you need more than one battery.

Need a step by step manual on how too install Transmission Shifting Solenoid on a 2001 Chevorlet Venture Van LS let

Suggest purchasing a Haynes manual which will have the step by step instructions. It is too complicated to post on FixYa. Alternatively you can sign up for a free account at Autozone and they have some manuals available online for free. They are not as good as a Haynes manual.

My name is Gena. The VEC024B that is being used by our field technicians are having problems with the fuse blowing in their work vans. Their vans are equipped with laptops.

Hi Gena, the inverter is a 400 watt unit. This is not a rating for a continuous load. You do not mention which fuse is blowing. This could be the fuse in the inverter or the cigarette lighter (power source) fuse. In either case, a fuse blowing could be a short circuit, something in the inverter shorted, or too much load. I am going to look at the too much load side of things. Not knowing how many laptops are being used, with the inverter if you have a 20 amp fuse in the cig lighter, this will allow you 20 amps X 12 volts = 240 watts. I would not run the inverter over 240 watts because of overheating issues. So, 240 watts will run 3 laptops. Just the laptops. Most laptops draw around 70 watts. check your power supplies on them to find their rating. If you exceed the 240 watts by combining the ratings, then you can expect trouble with your inverter. It will give 400 watts, but this is a temporary condition only. Another inverter will be needed or a larger one installed and it being connected directly to the battery (with a fuse of sufficient size installed). You could also (let us say there are 6 computers) charge and run 3, and the other 3 are running on their batteries. After an hour, switch so that the 3 running on batteries now are charging as well as running. The other 3 are now charging.
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions please provide additional information. Such as the size and location of the fuse blowing. The laptop power supply ratings.
thank you

I need a lithona lighting power sentry psdl3 wiring diagram

http://www.lithonia.com/SpecSheets.aspx

Lithona has a lot of products and they show the manuals.
Unlike a lot of companies where manuals are not available, as if customers live in the 1980's and still write to companies asking for information.

I don't see your speicific product at Lithona.

A search for 'power sentry' turned up many possible products.
Unlike a lot of sites that just say, 0 results.

Many times, the same product will have more than 1 name or product-number depending on who is selling the product >>> that's how different companies can sell the same product but claim their product line is unique.

You might search the manuals at Lithona and find a similar product under a different name or number.

I have 1750w mobile power inverter turn on light comes on then the falt light come on right away.

Like most Cheap square wave inverters, the mosfets can not take the inrush current.
Usually if the fault light comes on and there is NO voltage at the output, FIRST check the on board fuse, then check for any tell-tale burn spots, or areas where the components have heated up or burned.....if you get this far and all appears clear, then it is time to check the fets.

I would not reccomend any Motomaster Eliminator inverter other than the more costly sine wave unit....or stay with a 1kw unit and do not overload it.
It\s best to run as much as you can at 12vdc or higher...like 24vds. AC is nothing but problems.

Hi; I have a 1750w eliminator but no fitting instuctions. is it just a case of fitting it straight to the battery . is it as simple as that ? what if the truck has 4 batteries how do i know which to...

Sounds like your a truck driver. Anyways you would hook up the ground to the negative and the hot to the positive side. The 4 batteries are in a series so just pick a negative and positive. I hope this has helped, please give a rating on the answer. Good Luck and have a great weekend.

DTV Conversion Question

Yes you can connect a DTV converter box in your van.
If the TV is DC powered you will need to buy a DC to AC inverter, like these http://www.dcacpowerinverters.com/12_volt_power_inverters.html because there are currently no dc dtv converters available.
If the tv is ac powered you will only need to connect the converter to the inverter the tv is connected to.
If you need more help or installation instructions let me know.
Please rate this solution.
