Can I get your hotspot so I can get on facebook at school

Most schools enable a firewall to restrict you from visiting inappropriate websites, images or other material. Unfortunately sometimes they block perfectly legitimate stuff, which sometimes you need to access for a school assignment. In these cases, here are a couple tips for bypassing your schools internet security.

Try putting "https://" before the web address, instead of just http://, this works a lot of the time if the website supports it. If your school has not already blocked it, you can go to www.sefreak.com and sign in to the portal using the username student and the password random1 to gain access to a really quick proxy. If your school frequently updates the block-list, and you want to always stay informed about the latest proxy websites, you can sign up for a mailing list here: http://www.peacefire.org/circumventor/ If you have access to your own computer, consider computer programs such as UltraSurf or HotSpot Shield which help get around internet censorship. For the more technologically-inclined, you can set up your own proxy server using a running computer connected to the internet at home, or using Google Apps: http://lifehacker.com/5484934/run-your-own-free-proxy-through-the-google-app-engine

How do i unblock facebook from a school computer

Typically, this type of block is done on a network controller and you would need access to that device, which is unlikely. The administration at your school most likely has the access controlled and override would not be possible.

How to get around a school firewall?

Are you asking us to help you defeat a firewall at your school? Shame on you! It's there to keep you from going places you shouldn't be. To keep you out of trouble.
It's the school's computers and they will put whatever restrictions them deem appropriate in school. Please confine your surfing to questionable sites at home.

The school has a web filter on the computer

Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

The IT dpeartment can assist you with certain pages being filtered that are needed. You can make a list and they will set allowance for you to go into the page.

The schools have a good reason to set filters as this saves them from maintenance fees as well as from hackers, viruses and malware. This type of protection is not be be worked around as it can get you in serious trouble with possible expulsion.

If there is a page that you need to acces and the IT department will not allow you to work around it, then you can go the library and research.

Hope this helps!

Some how i blocked you tube from the schools computers and i c ant gfet it back but at tghe same time i dont know how i did it

Usually if a site is blocked in a school it is due to a hardwired firewall or software firewall. If you are not an administrator on the schools system, I highly doubt you blocked it through the entire school, you may have just done it to the computer you are using. To get the issue resolved I would ask a school IT administrator as they would know what to do. They may have have blocked it school-wide on purpose.

In the mean time you can try to go through a proxy website such as this one

Youtube is blocked

Get to You-Tube from work or school, even through a firewall by using an Anonymizer or Private web surfing site For years internet privacy experts have been using anonymizers, Proxies, private web-surfing services and other identity hiding software or services to get to websites privately.
proxy-settings.jpg These anonymizers and Anonymous web surfing services are usually used to hide your tracks while surfing the internet, making it impossible for anyone to trace what web-pages you have visited - but you can also use anonymizers and proxies to access YouTube and other websites at school or work that are blocked by a firewall. These anonymous web surfing services when used together with Firefox will usually let you get around any firewall.
Most web-proxy services or anonymizers are not free, but many do offer partial service for free or a free trial period, which might work for you depending on what type of firewall your school uses.
You may have to try a few different internet anonymous web surfing services or proxies to see which one works best with the firewall that your school or office has. Most of these services do not require you to install any software on the computer you're using at. You simply log into their website from work or school, then use the service to get to YouTube.com or whatever websites your school or business firewall is blocking. You can use these services with or without Firefox.

How an anonymizer gets around a firewall An anonymizer or Private web-surfing service gets around your school's firewall by setting up a connection between your computer and the anonymizer service or proxy, so the firewall only sees the connection from you to them. The anonymizer's computers then connect to YouTube.com (or Hotmail, Myspace, etc) with their internet connection and send the data back to you. To the school's firewall it looks like your computer is connecting to the proxy's web address and not Youtube.com.
Some schools block proxys and anonymous web surfing sites, especially the free ones, so you may have to try a few to find one that works The I.T. guys at your school or in your company's I.T. Department might be smart enough to configure their firewall to block the common proxys and private web-surfing websites and services right along with blocking YouTube.com. Lucky for you, there are LOTS of different internet-proxy and anonymizer services to choose from! You may have to experiment with different proxies until you find one that works with the firewall settings at your school or in your office at work.
There are no guarantees when they block YouTube.com You might only have to try one or two different anonyimizers or web-proxy services before you can connect to YouTube.com from school. You might also try 50 and never find one that works if your school's firewall is really good. The only way to find it is to try. WARNING: The use of web-proxies or anonymizers to bypass firewalls might be against the rules at your school or place of employment. If using proxies is against the rules, use them at your own risk or don't use them at all!

Can't Connect to the internet.

Hi!
1. I think your connection is temporarily blocked by university. (Have you used P2P clients like bittorrent, Vuze. Usu. Uni block ur account because of excessive data usage). Call them and make sure they didnt clock ur access.
2. Mosttimes installation of new antivirus, firewall mess up your connection. so then you have to uninstall and then reinstall your firewall again.
3. Can you please go to one of your friends place and try to log in using non Uni/ school network. If it works it again prove your account is suspended.
4. Go to HP website using other computer. under hp customer support you can find latest Wireless and Lan drivers for your laptop. Then download it and install it to your computer. Then It will sove your problem.
If non of these dint work please let me know.
I will try my best to help!
