Usually, most TV's have at least one SCART socket with all 21 pins connected. If so, you will be able to buy a SCART to PHONO adaptor quite cheap from places like Ebay. Try the link I have attached below for example:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GOLD-SCART-ADAPTER-3-x-RCA-PHONO-S-Video-SVIDEO-Adaptor_W0QQitemZ360162931117QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL?hash=item53db6231ad

Other types of adaptor are available, in the form of a cable assembly, which has a SCART socket on one end and either 2 or 3 PHONO plugs on the other end of the cable.
This may also work for you.

How do i hook it up to my ps2?

Your Ps2 should have a connecting lead that terminates in either a SCART plug or a set of 3 phono (RCA) plugs. The TV will have SCART inputs, and also will have Phono (RCA) inputs. So you connect to whichever is applicable and then turn the TV to the correct input. Usually this is done by using a button marked 'AV' or 'Input'

I have a customer on the phone who has a olevia flat screen and can not locate an input for his cable wire. where are they located?

here are the only signal inputs located at the back of the tv.
1 x HDMI input ( 19 pin HDMI Type A )
2 x component video input ( RCA phono x 3 )
1 x VGA input ( 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15) )
Audio line-in ( RCA phono x 2 )
2 x S-Video input ( 4 pin mini-DIN )
2 x composite video/audio input ( RCA phono x 3 )
1 x headphones ( mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm )
1 x SPDIF output ( TOS Link )
1 x audio line-out ( RCA phono x 2 )
1 x subwoofer output ( RCA phono )
1 x serial

If you are looking for a coaxial cable input.. it is actually not available so you have to connect a converter from coax cable to RCA cable for you to connect it on your tv.

I have a Phillips flat screen tv that says locked when I turn it on. It won't let me do anything with the remote or on the buttons. I tried power cycling, but that didn't help.

if you connect the dvd to the tv using scart 2 on the tv it should send sound back to the dvd. if not then one of the scarts should be marked with a 2way arrow showing that is both input and output.
failing that us e phono cables (red/white) from audio out on the tv to audio in on the dvd and select the av or au on the dvd remote.

I would like to know how to connect a dvd player through my samsung vcr the inputs in the back i am not familiar with there are two sets of yellow white and red connections with one side for output and...

Connect from dvd OUT to vcr IN
The yellow connecter is video, red is right audio and white is left audio.
You can purchase converter leads (scart to phono(the red/white/yellow connecters) or many other combinations) if needed.
If you have scart connections ( a block of 21 pins) then use that if possible as it will give a better picture.
Connect the dvd out to vcr in and vcr out to the tv in.
NOTE. if you connect this way you will find that the copyright protection will make viewing dvds quite poor quality and may even be black and white or even the picture may "roll"
You may want to buy a scart block to connect more scarts to the tv then it has, also you can get these with different connections.

LG RH266 DVD Recorder no sound

Hi .. It sounds like the problem you have is incompatabilty I assume that you haven tried Phono connections instead of scart , as this sometimes cures this problem .. or when purcahsing a scart look for the Miirrored type this means that the inputs and outputs are reversed this also sometimes cures the problem as some scarts put output to output and input to input ect when actually it should be output from tv to input dvd and so on ie wrong scart and there are a few of the cheaper type that have this problem .. if you have no luck using the phono let me know .. Regards Vortash

Help

you cannot get your tv to play surround sound through the speakers, but if your tv has either a scart 21 pin socket or an audio out, you can fit a scart to phono adapter and connect the phono plugs to the audio left right input on your sound system, likewise if you have audio left and right output(phono) on the tv, connect to audio in on your unit. You should have a choice of output channels on the system menu, similiar to DVD/video1/video2 or output 1 and 2 or auxilliary 1 and 2

Souud delay on tv /amp

Instead of connecting each device (sky&dvd rec.) to the TV separately, I would simply hook up the sky to dvd recorder (connect the sky output and dvd recorder input), and then connect the dvd recorder output (must be called "play out") to one of the available recorder inputs (which could be a dvr, an empty tape input, etc)of your amp. However, you'll still have to establish a feedback between your dvd recorder and your amp. Therefore, if the dvd rec. supports it, you'll have to hook up the rec.out, which is on your amp.,to rec.in on your dvd recorder. After all these audio connections, you will only need to make a video connection among the sky, dvd rec., and tv. Get a video cable to hook up the sky video output to your dvd recorder's video input, then do the same thing between the dvd recorder's tv output and tv.
