Question about Brother DCP-110C All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have 4 DPC115. however 2 of my DPC115 have the same problem. Both are full of all ink and the screens are registering all ok. When I run a test print all the colours are perfect but no black on the paper at all. Both black carts are installed correctly and the printer sees them as full.
Anyone able to help on this one?
The printheads plug or stop working for the black on this model, and the only repair is a new printhead that a shop needs to install. If they are under warranty there's no cost but after warranty the printhead runs around $150.00 and the labor is at least a 1 hour charge.

Tips for a great answer:
Mar 09, 2011 | Canon PIXMA iP1600 Printer
Eight flashes: Waste ink absorber almost full
The printer has a built-in waste ink absorber for the ink used during Print Head cleaning. Eight flashes indicates that the waste ink absorber is nearly full. Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, contact a Canon service representative.
Canon recommends that you call for service as soon as this error occurs. Once the waste ink absorber becomes completely full, printing will no longer be possible
