Disconnect all devices from the power supply EXCEPT the motherboard
Remove any extra cards including video etc.(plug monitor into the onboard)

If you hear any beeps these can indictate where the fault is.
either of these sites below will help you further with that

Beep codes P
c

More beep codes

Power up the pc and see if the fans are working.
If not then double check the power connections to the board.

If you still have no fans it is time to suspect the power supply as the probable cause.

If the fans worked then you should have gotten a display which told you there was an error and offering you a chance to go into the BIOS. ignore it and shut down the PC.

Now connect one drive only and boot again.

Repeat that until you identify the component that is giving you a problem.

Once you find the problem then remove or disconnect and carry on with the rest to see if another component might also cause a problem

If there is only one problem device then you may want to investigate that device further, Unless you don't mind replacing it

DVD light flashing could just mean that the power supply has those voltages present but maybe not the others that it needs for the whole system to work.

E-Machines are very bad for power supply failures. I can swear to that first hand.

Again all I can suggest is that you identify the faulty components by doing as I suggested make sure that ALL the fans are running both the power supply and the one on the CPU if not I would suspect a power supply fault.

They supply multiple different voltages and if just one of those voltages fails then for the most part so does the whole system

If the monitor power light is on or flashing, but nothing displays, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor needs replaced.

BSOD after power failure during check disk-now I cannot reboot from recovery console or disk. How can I uninstall the OS then reinstall OS from eMachines T6524?

You need to enter the BIOS. immediately upon starting the computer start tapping either the F2 or the tab button. Once in the bios, go to boot order and set the cd/dvd drive as the first boot priority, hard drive second. It is ok to leave this permanently, save and close settings which will reboot the system and considering everything goes as planned you should be able to start up from a disk and then repair or replace XP. When replacing XP remember to delete partition and write a new copy. THIS WILL ERASE ALL INFO ALREADY ON THE HARD DRIVE!!!

PC won't go all the way on.

Make sure the monitor is properly plugged in. Make sure that if you have more than one video signal on your computer, that you have it plugged in to the right one. (A video card overrides normally an on-board video connector). Make sure your monitor has power and has a power light on. Does your PC beep as it comes on? If so, it is indicating a very basic problem with the machine.

Requires more input to fully resolve.

T6524 Desktop will not come on

That could actually be tons of different things.

The first thing you want to start with is make sure that the cable from the computer to the monitor is plugged in.

After that, you want to make sure that the monitor is good. Try using either a different computer with that monitor or a different monitor with that computer.

If that doesn't fix it, let me know and we'll go from there.
