Power went out at house came back on frig. with just green flasing light now warm. Just had electronic panel and circuit panel replaced in August. Ideas what to do?
That just worked for me too. Hold the power freeze and power cool buttons down at the same time and it will reset it after a power surge. All I had working was a light inside the door and a blinking green light on the display panel.
Got it Hold the power cool and power freeze buttons down for 10 seconds
the panel should restart and so will the fridge. I hope it stays
running will post results
This worked for me to, exactly as mentioned. Help the Power Cool and Power Freeze buttons down for 10 seconds. Has anyone made an headway with Samsung on this issue? It is not much of a solution, if you plan on going away for several days.
You will love this. I called Samsung, escalated to 2nd tier support then to an engineer...and this is exactly what they told me.... "The power needs to be off for more than three minutes for the auto-reset to kick-in". I told them that this was insane, that the majority of poower outages are VERY short. How does anyone have any confidence leaving there home for several days, particularly in the summer, when we have most of our t-storms. My solution is to buy a small UPS to capture all of the short outages. Other thoughts on this?

Had a new circuit board ordered from my local service guy. He said a min of $250 for the board. I googled the model # and got this site. Thanks for saving me $400 for parts & labor!!!

Power cool and power freeze 10 seconds does it but why no auto reset
samsung no help at all I dont think they even have a solution other
then replace a 1700$ board Samsung should have a recall out on this
problem. Pisses me off that the company does not even have the solution
in the book. I have now moved and had a call from the new owners on how
to reset the fridge What if your away? I will not be buying another
Samsung anything because of this. I love the fridge but its not that
great. LG all the way.
I googled and found this sight thank you so much. I know I did hold this these two buttons, but must not held long enough. We even called the 800 number for samsung and they gave us no help.
Worked for me also...Thanks much...

Had a power cut, and the digital panel is no longer working. The ice maker is also not working.
Have the same problem at first I just removed the Ice catcher and
replaced and yes it restarted This time it wont why no reset switch?
I had the same exact Problem. Power outage, then just blinking bar, and nothing worked. Light inside worked. I called Samsung and they told me to hold different buttons. Didn't work. We were without the fridge all weekend. Luckily we have a seperate freezer. They were useless. Then tried to schedule a service call. They said they would call in 24-48 hrs. Closed on weekends, called today, and they say they don't service Raleigh, NC. (Are you kidding me?) Luckily I used Live Search (Microsoft search engine) and found this site. Tried holding those 2 buttons down, and the ****** turned on. THANKS A MILLION whoever posted the solution.
i have the same problem, just hold power freeze an power cool buttons down at the same time an it will reset it after a power surge
We turned off power to install a dishwasher and our Samsung refrigerator wouldn't start up again. One blinking green light and nothing happening, we tried unplugging it, nothing and called repair service. I went to this site and hooray, I fixed it by pressing the power freeze and power cool buttons. Thanks for the help and cost of repair service. Thank you for helping me.
