I need to know the steps of make a copy and the transfer it on to my computor

Try Ctrl + c (copy) then go to your word doc and Ctrl + v (paste) to paste into your document.
If this does not work then the WEB site has prevented copying this document.
You will need to print the WEB document and then type the info into your document.

Copy paste function does not work

Copy and Paste has to work. Maybe you are doing something wrong.

For example if you copy three rows of excel data then when you get ready to paste it you must select and highlight three rows to paste it.

There are other ways to copy and paste something tool For example highlight what you want to copy then put the mouse pointer on it and do a Right Click and select copy. You can also Right Click Where you want to paste it.

Also you can highlight what you want to copy then Press and Hold the CTRL then hit the letter C key. When you want to paste it you can simply put the mouse where you want it to go, then Press and Hold the CTRL key then hit the letter V key.

Of course there are the way most people know which is to hit File/Edit/Copy at the top of the window or File/Edit/Paste.

How do I forward a letter to a yahoo address, it keeps coming up Outlook Express and I don't have an account with them I am trying to send it from Quizzle

A common problem. Open your customary email provider and pull up the correspondence form. Then copy the material you want to forward with Ctrl-a, Ctrl-c and paste it into the content field with Ctrl-v. Then copy the email address shown on the Outlook form and paste it into the address area of your usual email form.
MicroSoft assumes that everyone wants to use Outlook so many pages default to it when locating an email application for insertion of the recipient address.

Editing a document that has no security on it

This is an interesting problem. Since you've already tried copy/paste to a new document, I'll assume you don't care about the file so much as the text in it.

First, make a copy of the file and let's experiment with that.

You said you cannot copy the text, but I'm not sure if that is because you cannot "select" the entire text of the document or because the copy function is simply not working on that file. If you're able to open the document at all, try using keyboard commands to perform the copy/paste. Open the doc and leave the cursor at the beginning of the text. Then attempt to select all the text by pressing Ctrl-A. If that works, then press Ctrl-C. Leave the document open and press Ctrl-N to open a new doc page. Then press Ctrl-V and see if the text pastes in. One important thing to know would be if the text pastes but exhibits the same 'symptom'. If so, attempt an EDIT, PASTE SPECIAL and try pasting "unformatted text". Unfortunately, that method will also remove your formatting.

Here's another approach that may allow you to retain most MS Word formatting items. Click START, RUN and type "wordpad" .. Then hit ENTER. This launches MS Wordpad which should be able to open most .doc files. Use the FILE, OPEN menu items to locate and attempt to open the document in question. If from here you are able to select all the text (Ctrl-A) and copy it (Ctrl-C) and paste it (Ctrl-V) into a new doc file, then we will move on to another possible option.

Another approach would be to download one of the many different .doc repair utilities that exist. There are a number of free ones as well.. repairmyword.com advertises a number of free utilities you may have luck with.

Hopefully one of these will help fix the matter... if not, let us know!

Good luck!

Pasteing and how it works

If you mean pasting in relation to cut / copy & pasting

How it works
When you cut or copy something, for example text, it is saved into the clipboard. Then when you paste, the text that is in the clipboard gets pasted. You can paste that same text more than once, it stays in the clipboard until it is over written (by cutting ot copying something else) or you restart your PC.

How to use it
There is a couple of ways to cut / copy & paste

1. Use right clicking menu
you can select something, some text for example, then right click on it with your mouse and select Cut or Copy. To paste right click where you want the text to be pasted and select Paste

2. Use application's Edit drop down menu
you can select something, some text for example, then select the application's Edit drop down menu and select Cut or Copy. To paste click where you want the text to be pasted select the application's Edit drop down menu and select Paste

3. Use keyboard shortcuts
you can select something, some text for example, then press Ctrl + X to Cut or Ctrl + C to Copy. To paste click where you want the text to be pasted then press Ctrl + V to Paste

Hope this helps
