Question about Moultrie GameSpy 4.0 Digital Camera Deluxe

Open Question

Where does the external power supply plug in ? The system uses 6- 1.5 volt batteries , This equals 9 volts ..... Does this mean that the system is 9V ? Can I use a 6volt power supply with a solar panel? Your advertised external power supply is 12V..... How does this work on a 9V camera ? Looking for a way to leave the camera long term with out having to make a 200 mile trip to change batteries every few weeks.

There is a contact in the upper left hand corner of the batt compartment. This has to touch the metal of the last batt.If your batts have paper around them scrape it off where it contacts that contact point.

Olympus E-10/20

I have been on love with my Olympus e-20n since the day I bought it. Yes, it's only 5 mega-pixel but the SLR design and full manual functions out weigh the limited resolution. I was very disappointed when I tried to buy a replacement high capacity battery and Lithium Polymer 8400ah battery was not only discontinued but totally not available (except for some used ones on Ebay and I'm just not brave enough to buy a used battery)

So crafting a replacement became my Memorial Day Weekend project. One quick trip to Fry's Electronics later and I had the solution. A 6-cell AA battery holder, 6ea AA NiMH 2600ah rechangeables and a 9-volt battery clip with pig tail is all I needed.

Crack open the external battery add-on (looks like a power winder on a 35mm SLR) 4-screws on the botton, one inside the battery well and 2 under the rubber hand grip. Locate the battery connector and un-screw the RED and BLACK prime power leads from each side. Cover the connector with electric tape or an insulated cover, your done with it, forever.

Solder the pigtail 9-volt battery clip to the RED and BLACK leads (red to red and black to black, duh!). Extend the 9v battery clip outside the case and re-assemble the case.

The 6 AA-cell battery holder will fit nicely into the battery door cup and if you pack the vacant space in the battery well with sponge or an old gym sock the battery will not slide around.

Fill the AA battery holder with the rechargeable batteries you have freshly re-charged and hook up the 9v clip. Thats it, new life for the my old companion.

Where can I find an adaptor to fit a Hohner Keyboard PSK75 9 volt

You can actually use any 9 Volt adapter, as long as the adapter's Amp rating is higher than what the keyboard requires, and the polarity of the plug corresponds to that of the keyboard.
The keyboard consumes 7.7 Watt maximum, which means any 9V 1A (1000mA) adapter will do, but check the polarity on the plug.

6 AA Batteries generate how many amps

If this is a battery powered CD player,
we are talking mA not amps.....6 x 1.5volt batteries give you 9 volts
I would recommend something like this:-

> Since power ws restored, I hav a low battery alarm for about 3 days.
The charge circuit probably only supplies a tiny charge current to prevent overcharging of the main battery and I suspect the original is a NiCad and has likely lost a cell or two (shorted; it's common with them) over that fairly long period.
Replacing it with either Lithium Ion or NiMh rechargeables with a honest voltage rating (*some aren't) is a good move; neither of these are as prone to failure as NiCad is. Don't be surprised if you still have a 'low battery' alert for several days since these batteries rarely have a full charge when shipped.
*So-called '9V' block batteries are, except for rare batteries, actually 8.4 or even only 7.2 volts. I have some instruments that indicate 'Low battery' with either of these even when fully charged.

It wont power on, no matter being plugged in correctly, I think someone might have used the wrong ac adapter, would this have recked er up? lol

Yep. Plugging a 9 volt transformer into a 6 volt device wil recked er up ... so would using a 9 volt DC in a 9 volt AC device. Test the power supply before you trash it. Make sure it is putting out what it is rated to put out.

Thanks for visiting today.

What voltage are the koss 'older' computer/CD speakers that would take 3 'C' batteries each. I have a variable voltage adapter and am not sure if I should switch it to 9 volt or another setting for AC...

C cells are 1.5 volts each. If the speakers use three of them that means you'll need a 4.5 volt supply. If each speaker needs batteries, you'll need to feed that voltage to each speaker, and the supply should have enough current for the total load. A 1-amp rating is probably fine.

I think you will find that one 9 volt battery would not last any time at all. the 6 AAs have a big capacity and that's why they use them, a little 9v battery is intended for low power equipment.
I see it is supplied with a 12v AC adaptor, if you connect a 12V battery via the adaptor socket you may get a longer run time if its a rechargable battery even better.
