Memory card problems DSC-W70

I have just got a memory card for my sony cybershot DSC-W70 but when i turn the camera on it keeps flashing access and it changes from the memory card to internal memory. How do i get it to stay on memory card.

I have formatted the card, don't see how it can be faulty as it was just removed from the packet!

Format memory card through format option in camera menu so camera recognize it properly and if memory card has not been formatted then it seems defective memory card, check it in another camera for confirmatiion.

If card is formatted then picture files will be stored and its OK
I was saying IF its not formatted then check this memory card in another camera to confirm it.

How to transfer internal memory pictures on a DSCW70

Unlike most brands/ models of cameras, the Sony CyberShot (DSC) cameras feature internal memories, (not enough to hold sufficient data). If you took a few shots before inserting the memory card, the pictures are stored in the internal memory. You can transfer/ delete those pictures by the following steps.
1. switch off the camera,
2 open the battery/ SD card slot cover and remove the SD card.
3. close the cover and switch on
4. press the display/ preview button and your picture should be visible on the screen.

You can now do whatever you want with your picture.

Sony cybershot dsc-w130 keeps showing "reinsert the memory stick" when i try to take a pcture or adjust telephoto when i do it does not make any difference

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC T70 and it keeps saying "Reinsert memory stick" whenever I turn on the camera or slide down the camera lid. Also, whenever I try to view the pictures on my laptop it shows "Please reinsert the memory stick" something along those lines. As I have been researching for the solution, I would have to format the memory card. However, I wouldn't want to lose the pictures as I just took many as from the holiday last week. The only problem is the memory card, I tried using another memory card and it works fine with the camera. There is nothing wrong with the camera.\r\nCan someone please help me how to solve the memory stick problem? It would be great. Ty.

My Sony Cybershot DSC-W120 Super steady shot Camera won't turn on

I have the same problem, but when I remove the MS Pro Duo card (1GB) from the camera it works fine again. The memory card works fine in a pc memory card reader. Is there a problem with the Sony camera built-in card reader?

Can't import pictures from my sony cybershot dcsw70 camera

Try replacing the data cable.
Try replacing the Pro Duo Memory stick, or use a card reader to test the memory card.
Test the camera on a different USB port, and then on a different computer.

This can tell you if the problem is the computer or the camera.

If the problem is the camera , then the USB data port may be defective.

If the problem is computer, try doing a system restore to a date before problem started.
If that does not help you may need to reinstall the system.

Sony cybershot

You can clean the contact points inside the camera with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol. If this does not correct the problem than it needs to be repaired
