Disconnect all vent hoses and cords, flip unit on its back, you may need to remove a inspection cover depending on model......most likly the knock is coming from a worn drum roller or the felt bearings are worn out......poss a chunk gone out of the belt or the tentioner arm spring has lost its tention. hope this helps....

Heat is there but drum only turns when drier is empty

Most likely, the drum belt is worn and slipping under a load. But it could also be a lack of tension on the belt idler pulley.

Replacing dryer belt, can't get the belt to fit back around the motor pulleys

did you make a diagram of the belt route before removing? Or if belt broke and you have right replacement one it can be tricky. Spring tensioner must be held back to get belt on. Did u drop front panel of drier to work on it?

I replaced the belt and need to know how the tensioner goes back on

From the front with the belt around the drum in the correct position, and the drum in place. Reach in under the drum and put the belt around the pulley on the drive motor. Then find the idler pulley. It should be pulled to the base of the drier to the left of the drive motor pulley. Pull the idler pulley up and to the right and place it on the outside of the of the belt coming down from the drum to the drive pulley. It should pull back to the left and tension the belt.

Where should i look for the belt location inside the drier? the drier has heat, its making nois as a motor is ok but do not rotate anymore

If you need to find parts or manuals for the dryer, go to Google website and type in you model number and then type in what you need manuals or parts. More then likely your belt came off the idler pulley.

Trying to put belt on drier but its to loose what im doing wrong

make sure the belt is around the motor pulley and the idler tension arm.it goes on like a serpintine belt on a car.pull the pulley to one side and then put the belt on the motor pulley and then release the idler pulley it should tighten up your belt.the outside of the belt should run along the inside of the idler pulley.it will almost look like a figure S.

Dryer is sparking

first turn the breaker off like now pull it out from the wall about a foot facing the drier take a small putty knife and insert it about 3" from the edge push the knife in till you feel the spring clip push in on it and lift the top then repeat that on the other side fold the top back till it leans against the wall look in the drier on the front edge of the front door panel there are two 5\16 in screws there remove them and un plug the light switch and the door switch assembly .grasp the front door panel and give it a quick snap forward to disengage the retaining clips and the door from the drum remove the door .Lay on the floor reach in and remove the belt from the idler pulley and blower motor pulley .Then while standing at the side of the drier grasp the belt with one hand and the front of the drier drum with the other and **** up sharply on the belt to release the drier drum from the rear drum bearing then remove the drum out the front that will let you replace the screws

Need a diagram to change heating element and sensors

unplug the drier pull it out from the wall about a foot facing the drier take a small putty knife and insert it about 3" from the edge push the knife in till you feel the spring clip push in on it and lift the top then repeat that on the other side fold the top back till it leans against the wall look in the drier on the front edge of the front door panel there are two 5\16 in screws there remove them and un plug the light switch and the door switch assembly .grasp the front door panel and give it a quick snap forward to disengage the retaining clips and the door from the drum remove the door .Lay on the floor reach in and remove the belt from the idler pulley and blower motor pulley .Then while standing at the side of the drier grasp the belt with one hand and the front of the drier drum with the other and **** up sharply on the belt to release the drier drum from the rear drum bearing then remove the drum out the front on the rear you will see the heating element there will be one sensor on the heater pan that's the safety or high limit thermostat the tiny one on the drier body is the thermal overload the one on the vent at the bottom is the operating thermostat but its rare to have a problem with them if the drier is not heating the first thing i recommend is check your voltage and connections and don't assume just because its running its getting full voltage check it with a meter driers will run on 110 but will not heat without 220
