Power supply should be turn ON and some moment should be there when you open the FLAP of the Printer or either manually drag and replace the catridges.

You should have installed some management software on your PC when you installed the printer. Start that software and find the option "Change cartridges" or something similar. This should move the carriage out of its garage and give you access. If you didn't install the software, check the manual section on changing the cartridge. There are usually some sequence of button presses you can do on the control panel that will also move the carriage out of the garage.

How do I get to the ink cartridge to change itin a canon MX 300

You must have power applied to the unit when you change ink cartridges. The cartridge holder should move to the left side of the carriage when you lift the cover to gain access to the ink cartridges.

Changing ink cartridge

This should happen automatically when you open the door to access the cartridges for changing. If they don't, power off the unit. Reach in and drag the head carriage out firmly with your fingers. It will resist a lot at first but once it gets moving it's a breeze. Change the cartridges, close the door, and turn it on. The carriage will recalibrate it's position and it will be ready to go.

Using the same cartridges for the HL-4070CDW, I refilled the black yellow cyan and magenta cartridges. when I put them all back into the printer, the RED toner life end comes on saying that cyan, magenta,...

There's a window on each end of the cartridges and light shines thru to show when they're empty, your refill toner may not be the right density. If you put a small piece of electrical tape over the windows on the cartridge, the error will go away, but you have to watch print quality to change or add toner.

Ink cartridge

The access door for the cartridges in on the front right corner of the printer. Put your hand on the side of the printer, (Just around the corner), you will feel a spot to put your fingers to pull down the access door. It is well hidden, what where they thinking? From there it is really easy to just pull down the printer doors and change the ink cartridges.

Good luck to all!

Invlaid region code

Sounds like you are trying to play a DVD of a different region to that of the player.

Worldwide region codes, sumarised:

1 - US / Canada

2 - Europe

3 - Asia

4 - Australia

5 - Africa

6 - China

You can change the region code of the DVDR520H to any region or use region 0, which makes the unit multi-region to play DVDs from any region.

  1. Go into the main menu
  2. Highlight the exit button
  3. Type 2960

This should give you access to a hidden menu form where you can change the region code.
