Re: printer showing error and paper out lights even
Cancel all the pending print commands from printer buffer that will be there in the bottom right hand side with an icon of small printer. And right click on the printer properties by going in Control Panel->Printers check the printer icon and do the right click and check whether it is offline or online. It should be Online.Click on the properties and click on Roll Back Driver option. Or either uninstall or reinstall the drivers either by Driver CD or by online. Restart the computer and then try to take the print.

Happend twice to me. What sometimes happens is that the paper roll was not changed at the time the ink was. Therefore the paper roll was allowed to remain in the printer until the very last sheet. On the last sheet there is a sticker that says paper out. (stupid idea) This sticker makes the last sheet of paper too thick to fit through the last paper guide / feed.Because of this, the ink film breaks and that specific error message is displayed until that last piece of 4x6 is pulled from the paper feed.Clear that out, and all is good.. Change the paper every time u change the ink.

(stupid idea) This sticker makes the last sheet of paper too thick to fit through the last paper guide / feed.Because of this, the ink film breaks and that specific error message is displayed until that last piece of 4x6 is pulled from the inside top paper feed.Clear that out, and all is good.. Change the paper every time u change the ink. Even if its not finished. They give you extra. And clear out all the paper from the cutter traay before you move the printer. You must open up the front where the roll goes. Lay the printer back, and look up top where the paper ejects. you should see some of the paper in the feed. Pull that out with a tweezers.
Beware. I sent my printer to Sony and they tried to get me for a new cutter and thermal head. Close to $500. I then realized the problem because it happened on another unit I own. I told them to ship it back unrepaired and I fixed it myself. Hope this helps
Hi, To fix this kind of error, remove the ink cartridge and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it.Check if anything comes out.If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of card stock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there. Open up the printer and clean the insides with a soft cloth and a brush. That should remove all the bits of paper inside. The teeth on the roller sides may have some dirt stuck on them which does not allow the rollers to roll freely and hence is as bad as paper jam. The idea is that the rollers do not roll whether because of paper or some dirt on the roller teeth. They have to be cleaned. Thank you !!
This printer is very finicky about paper loading. I see this error most commonly when using auto-cut roll paper. If the paper edge is not cut perfectly straight, and it is not inserted into the printer perfectly strait, it will give you an error. When it does this, you can simply load the paper and press "cut" instead of "pause" when it says "press pause" and it will cut the paper straight. You can also set it to "Roll Paper Manual Cut" and load the paper, then set it back to "Roll Paper Auto Cut."
Could be that the button for Sheet / Roll has been pressed. This is a popular error caused by the machine expecting a sheet when you are loading a roll. Make sure the light is located on the roll option rather than the sheet.
If this is the problem, you must first remove all media, then lower the covers and lower the media release lever before the printer will allow you to change between roll & sheet.
