How do you set up a ipcam to work on the internet

That's a great question, but there are no details here.

What kind of internet connection do you have? Are you behind a Wi-Fi router? What kind of ipcam do you have? Do you know the IP address?

Generally, if you are at home, you need to add a NAT transversal rule to your router to access anything from your home network on the Internet, unless your router and IPCam support UPnP. I can't help you any more without more details.

access your router using 192.168.1.1 username/passwd if not altered should be admin/admin u can set your ip (static ip) and i do not see why you can not assign an ip for your cam, my guess is you want to veiw you the camera feedback across the Internet. there various ways of doing this just remember that your cam is connected to your local network not to the Internet. good luck

I have a Plustek OpticFilm 7600i SE film scanner. Every time I try and load-up the setup disc, the set up install starts and then comes up with this error message: An error (-500 : 0x8004ace8) has...

It is quite possible that there is another piece of software that is clashing with your Plustek OpticFilm scanner. It is hard to tell which software is having a clash. If you remove that software from your system you will obtain the desired results. I suspect the SP3 of Windows XP may be responsible for this because Microsoft has indicated that Windows XP SP3 is not for everyone. If you install Windows XP SP2 uninstalling XP SP3 your problem can definitely be rectified.
Good Luck!
