Hi
If the valve is stripped then there is damage to the manifold too. You need to replace both, and when you reassemble the valve into the manifold lubricate the valve threads and it will prevent this.

The steam light on my Saeco Aroma does not turn on (and no steam comes out), even after the brew light turns on and I press the steam button. How can I get my steam to work?

HI
It is probably your steam thermostat that needs to be replaced. There are 2 thermostats. The Brew and steam. If one of them fail it won't heat the boiler for that mode. They are easy to replace.

Leaks near handle, won't build up steam to pressure

I just got a Saeco Aroma that has this issue, so keep that in mind as it may not apply to your machine.

Two things can cause this from what I can see: a defective brew head gasket (if the machine is very old the rubber can crack) it can crack) or a defective outlet valve.

In my case it was the latter: you need to remove the screen, then access the vallve body. On the Saeco, you simply unscrew it with a quarter. Inside is a stainless steel spring and a valve that would normally sit on the internal outlet tube. Mine was simply broken in three pieces. That makes it impossible to properly build pressure during warm up and, forces water up into the tank all the way to the top which them mixes with the steam during steaming.

The outlet valve, spring and valve body  is a maintenance item that can be bought as a kit online for about $25. Or you can get the whole set of gaskets, o-rings, valve and spring for about $50 if like me you just got yourself a machine that simply needs its 5 year overhaul.

This outlet valve replacement is a 'one wrench' repair that can be easily done by any reasonably skilled handyman in less than 15 minutes.

Good luck, hope it helps putting it back in service if you still have it ;)

Saeco Aroma steemer spit out a lot of hot water

This is normal. The solution is to let the steam wand run for a few seconds to purge all of the liquid water from the system before you begin steaming your milk. It will take about 10 seconds or so. You can do it into the drip tray, into a pitcher or bowl, onto a rag, or even on the counter. The key is not to put your milk under the wand until all of the liquid water is gone and all that is left is steam. Good luck!

Saeco Aroma Espresso Machine.....doesn't draw water.

Hi,

You have to take a bellow pump or similary and fill with water, after that you have to open the steam knob and put force in the water from the bellow pump into the water inlet on the machine.

Hope this will help you, let me know if it works.

Steam nozzle leaking

Hi! hope i'm not too late, since this leaking problem occur's quite often, specially when one's tends to overtight the valve, the proposed solutios will certainly help thousand of happy Saeco owners.
Anyway i happened to live with it but after a second valve replacement, i got fed up with filling too often the reservoir and fixed it at Zero cost. What i did is realy easy:
1- Find a bearing the size of the plunger of the needle valve; the thiny steel ball in a nail polish bottle is what i used.
2- When the electric cord is pulled off the wall outlet, take the cover off, reach to the snap locker and pull it off.
3- Unscrew the needle valve plunger off the cylinder, grind or file the
tip 3/16 of an inch, making sure it is at rite angle cut.
4- Insert the ball in the valve body and push it with the flattened tip
over the vapor down stream and screw. You now have a new valve that will outlast your coffe maker.

Need a repair service

A aroma is very easy to open up so if you can find a erpair station near you i would suggest you to fix it your self.

open it up and reset the fuses there is one on the top of the boiler when you open it up.

Then you need to prime it.
Turn it on ( as this should work now)
open up the steam valve and then press for making of a cup of coffe. this hould prime the machine though the steam nossle.
