After install can't get call of duty GHOSTS to load

right what sort of system are you running (specs wise)

ghosts is a new PC game if your hardware is a few years old it may not be supported or meet the minimum requirements.

if you have got a flashy PC then my advice would be try compatibility mode (probably wont work) or try updating the drivers especially your graphics driver.

if you are still having trouble try changing what DirectX version you are using

Shuts down when trying to access any game we have downloaded

To troubleshoot, first be sure your computer meets the specs for the games. For instance, is there enough memory? Is the video card able to display the resolution the game calls for?
Will the games load in safe mode?
Try this: From the command line type MSCONFIG
When that opens, go to the startup tab and at the bottom of the window check the option "disable all." Now try the games in normal mode. If they run, then something listed in the MSCONFIG startup windows is preventing the system from running correctly.

Can windows 7 run GTA IV.

Running GTA 4 on windows 7 should not be a problem. You just have to run the installer using compatibility mode. Right click on the "setup.exe" then choose Properties. Go to Compatibility tab and tick "run this program in compatibility mode for", choose windows xp sp 3. That should allow you to install GTA 4 on windows 7. Bear in mind that you have to install GfW Live and the C++ 2005 files seperately which can be found in the disk as well. More importantly, make sure that your computer meets the system requirements for the game.
Here it is: System Requirements
Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3 Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz Memory: 1.5GB, 16GB Free Hard Drive Space Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900
Recommended System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3 Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz Memory: 2 GB (Windows XP) 2.5 GB (Windows Vista) 18 GB Free Hard Drive Space Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870
After installing the game and you're not able to run it, Try running the main executable file of the game in compatibility mode as well.

Hope this helps.

When i start a game that needs to be in video mode it says : CRXScreen::Init: Unable to set video mode ( second try )

In this case it probably missing the video driver and this is the reason that it can not configure the video mode..If you don't know if it has the driver or not ..or if the driver is the one from windows..try to download and install the original one from the support site ..and run it into computer .When you finish ..restart the computer and try again ..If the video card is compatible with the game will work ..If it still does not work means you need a graphic card with more resources ..
to be sure ..check the minimum requirements for the game to run ..They are available on the internet ..just search for them ..If your system does not meet these requirements the game can not load proper ..

On trying to load the game i get a microsoft error explaining that 'fm.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close' i've tried everything i can think of, any help would be much appriciated

Thats usually a graphics or memory error.Does your video device support the game?Possible updating video drivers will solve this problem.

Also be sure you meet the requirements for memory or ram to run the game.

Last..It could be a corrupt install, try uninstalling and reinstalling.Or try running in compatability mode if your running vista or windows 7.

Why does Zoo tycoon 2 zookeeper collection say it needs 256 mb and i have 0 when i have 6 gb

It is probally meaning video memory or ram not your hardrive memory. Make sure to check your system config versus tthe system requirements of the game. You can do this by simply right clicking my computer in windows and going to properties. If you do meet the requirements I would check to make sure no other programs are running taking up resources.
