Have power to top and bottom fan, lights work. Compressor makes no noise and not hot or cold to touch.I get reading from overload and PTCR relay with Ohms meter. Checked mother board doesn't seem like I'm getting power to compressor. Have no ice build up in freezer. both refrigerator and freezer are not cooling.Nothing leaking and condensor is clean, no dirt, pet hair etc.

Check compressor is working. If not, replace relay and check. If still compressor not working, you have to replace compressor.

Making a clicking noise and not cooling

This could be a relay on the control board or the compressor is short cycling or both. You can use my assistance to help you resolve this or call a technician, this depends on you. I am very familiar with the Artica/Profile and know that if you can follow instructions and use a test meter we can get this fixed. I would like your complete model number so I can refer to the exact model you have. I will leave you contact information and a service manual and a web page to use with the diagnostics. This problem will not get better, Sea Breeze

My 5 year old fridge/top freezer ge profile just stopped cooling, motor running but no cooling

First thing I need you to do is unplug pull away from wall and remove the cover over the compressor. Feel the top of the compressor and if too hot to hold your hand on the top leave the refrigerator unplugged until we can decide if this is the start components or another part like a fan not working all the time. I will send a manual and be available for assistance if you want, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Freezer and bottom part refrigerator does not getting cold

it can be either the rtc overload contactor on the compressor body or the mother board located inside the lower rear apron, check the rtc overload first if you suspect the compressor isn't running its cheaper than the mother board

Food in the freezer on my side-by-side GE Profile Arctica (PSH25MSSA SV) is thawing. Temperature is higher than normal (melted ice cream, etc.) but returns to frozen after awhile. Has happened many times...

It's hard to understand how the refrigerator compartment would be okay, but the freezer is not. The evaporator coils are normally behind the freezer. The cooled air is moved from here to the freezer and refrigerator by the evaporator fan. Is this the fan you are saying is going on and off? Or the compressor fan underneath the refrigerator.

The necessary conditions for proper cooling are:
1. Compressor is running; 2. Compressor fan is running; and 3. Evaporator fan is running.

Fan not working. Turbo cool reads error

Verify you have voltage at your fan. If you have voltage and the fan is not running then it will need to be replaced.

GE Profile Stainless Steel Top Freezer Refrigerator

Check the compressor.
Unplug for 15-20 min. plug it back in and listen for the compressor to start. You will have to be behind the ref to listen and make sure you hear the compressor start and not just a fan running. If you hear a clicking noise then the compressor relay is bad.
