What ink can i refil my my series 11 ink cartrige ??? or another cartrige thats a hp or cannon or epson that will fit in my dell 948 printer

Hello. You can refill the existing cartridge without a problem. Other brand cartridges will not work as they are all programmed only to use DELL model cartridges.
To Refill the cartridge you simply need to pull the label off, Drill the Air holes out, test what colour is behind the hole by sticking a toothpick into it and inject the correct colour.
If the cartridge leaks from the print head then the cartridge has been overfilled and you need to **** out ink (half ml at a time) until the dripping stops.
The only issue with this is that the printer may not accept a cartridge that it thinks is empty, and even though you fill it, the in-built counter in the cartridge will still read "0"
Some models will print with a empty cartridge, constantly reminding you that it is empty. if you simply ignore or click continue you can keep on printing, but some models will not print at all if it thinks the cartridge is empty.
I hope this helps Regards GM

How to mp260

you can try to open the cover from the ink container, it is sealed so it will be kind of can make a hole on top of the cover. big enough for a needle to go in.
to refil the printer remove first , the seal on the catridge to uncover the filling holes. To do this either trap the cap in a vice and leaver it off, or carefully use a penknife to remove it. Close the lid on the printer to keep it free from dust and debris while you are refilling the Canon ink cartridge.
  • Enlarge the fill holes with the drill . Tightly tape the ink delivery holes at the base of the cartridge before refilling.
Assemble the syringe and needle, pierce the bottle seal and fill with ink
  • Gently insert the needle on the bottle of ink into the hole you just drilled in the ink cartridge. Avoid squeezing the bottle until the needle is completely inserted in the ink tank.
  • Squeeze the ink bottle gently to refill the cartridge. Fill the tank with a little at a time until the cartridge is full.
  • Remove the needle from the ink tank. Wipe the top of the Canon ink cartridge off with a paper towel. Place a small piece of duct tape over the drilled hole. Rub the tape to remove air bubbles and to make sure it adheres to the cartridge.
  • Put the refilled ink cartridge back into the printer. Clean the head of the printer by running the printer software and following the instructions for head cleaning.
  • If you are filling a colour cartridge clean the syringe and needle thoroughly with water before filling with the next colour ink.
  • Whilst holding the cartridge upright over a sink or basin, carefully remove the tape from the delivery holes. Ink will probably drip from the cartridge for a while. Do not allow colours to mix at the outlet ports.
  • When the cartridge has stopped dripping carefully blot the bottom with some absorbent material taking care not to cross contaminate the colours
  • The cartridge is ready for use.
  • hope this helps pls do let me know

HP6180 Printer. I keep getting an error message, Ink cartridge em

some cartridges are charged up ( have a chip fitted to them )
If the chip is not charged to tell the printer it,s full of ink. this will cause the problem.
have you tried. unplugging the printer from the mains. then powering it back up.
also try using the printers own software to add new cartridges et,c.
you could also try re-installing the printers drivers/software if you have it,s instalation disk.

Can we print with other three Color ink cartridges when Black Ink cartridge is emptied?

as u have ran out of ink you cant print anymore... you have to replace a new ink cartridge.... this is because when u print something, the colors will get mixed to print the exact color.... even if u are printing only in black, some other colors wil get mixed to produce the black color on the paper... so u need to change the ink cartridge.... u cannot run with a blank filled ink cartridge.... and the selection of your printer is very good...

    thanks and regards

Won't stop cleaning and using up all ink in cartridg

I found a solution at another forum. I have the same printer with the same problem. What you need to do is put some electrical tape on the colour cartridges to stop the printer from sensing the ink level. I put tape on the clear plastic ridge on the back end of the cartridge and this allowed me to print from the black ink cartridge even though the colour ones were empty. I used black tape which i think would work best.

I am also going to leave the printer off until i need it so that it doesn't waste the ink by doing random cleaning at all times of the day.
