Question about HP DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer
I've been trying to unload and reload my software as suggested. It took several re-starts to remove the software. Now, when I try to re-install (from disc) I get "Unable to start the application. The java virtual machine cannot be located. class not registered. HELP PLEASE
What you can do is see if you can view the files on the cd. what I do with situations like this is:
1. place cd in drive
2. plug in printer
3. the plug and play process should begin
4. go through the wizard till it asks for drivers
5. use the browse option
6. search through the cd for the driver location
7. when you see the 'ok' button become available then try
8. if it doesn't work with the one file.... try another...
this is a bit tedious but it works. sometimes its easy to find the drivers as the folder they are in usually says drivers... other times its not as simple and you have to do the manual search...
hope that helps.
