ok it was not coming on at all or making any noise at all. The screen was black. I started taking the power cord in and out of the bottom like I was hooking it up to the computer and it came on. I then went to I tunes and updated it. I'm not sure if this is the beginning of something or not?? Thanks..Missy

It looks as if you may have resolved your issue so i would go and make sure you updates are taken care of and be sure you are running the most current version of itunes as well.. try to drag your items from your ipod into your itunes library if you havent done so yet--this will be a back up if you lose access to your ipod again.. good luck

My i-pod nano (2GB) will not hold more than 43 songs when I import from my cd's. My ipod is clear of all songs and so is my library. Are I not suppose to have at least a 500 song capacity?

I have an I-pod nano 4 gb. What I think is going on is you are loading full "wav" files. The 500 songs is predicated on low quality "mp3" songs. Normally, I-tunes will convert the "wav" file to an "mp3" file.

Check your music files on your computer and assure they are "mp3" files. If they are make sure your I-pod does not have other "stuff" on it. Use I-tunes to reset it an "like-new" condition (that removes all files)., then use I-tunes to re-install your music.

If you are downloading files from the I-tunes store make sure they are safe so you do not loose your investment in tunes.

Since they are from cd's make sure the ripped files are safe, then try a re-install.

Should work.

Cheers

Downloading music from computer

Musicmatch songs won't work on Ipods. Musicmatch has been discontinued since it was acquired by Yahoo last year. If you have songs in MP3 format those can be used in ITunes.

My ipod nano won't play music just through my headphones- it also plays through speaker and it makes the music sound like you are in a tunnel. How do I turn off the external speaker?

Ipod nano problem

hello blair,I Have my own I-pod so I hope this will re asure you. First I think you should restore your I tunes as long as your brother has your songs too. Then ask him to create a CD of all your songs, which is not hard at all. then take the CD and open I-Tunes. Place the CD into your hard drive and I-Tunes should pick up the CD. Then download the content of the CD onto I-Tunes. You Will Now have all your songs on I-Tunes like before. Now plug in your I-Pod and continue like It's the first time you have pluged in your i-pod! hope this helps! Rosebetts xxx

Ipod music shows up on the computer, but no songs when I disconnect it

Make sure when you sync the music, you selected all music and everything you want is checked off. And before you disconect, be sure your capacity bar thingy is higher up than before. Otherwise I would sugest you restore the settings and try again.
