32'' Panasonic television. Power switch does not turn the set on.

I have a Panasonic 32'' televisoin Model # CT-32SC13. When I push the power button/switch, nothing happens. It no audio or video and no red light to indicate it is on. Nothing. Is there a reset button on the back or something I'm missing? I've checked the plug and circuit breaker and all are working fine. thanks for your help, Martha

What is a connecting cable? What does it connect the TV to? Is it in the back? I'm not sure I remember any kind of cable when I bought the set.

    Thanks,
    Martha

1 It appears that connecting cable is faulty. Normally when you connect and push the power switch the standby light should lit. Try the cable on another appliance and see its function. Also switch on the TV and try to switch it on with your remote control.

Connecting cable is the same as the power cord
    Check the plug
Check the socket where power cord is plugged.
Switch the TV on. Check if the red light is there. Then turn the tV on with remote.
If all are OK then the safety fuse inside the TV has blown which will require the services of a TV Technician

Tv does not come on-no lights at all

This set has a pair of common issues----one: the fuse (6.3 amp and special--do not replace with Radio Shack or generic fuse) blows for no reason---with back off follow power cord (unplugged please) direct to the fuse which snaps into a holder--if stand of wire inside is broken or black replace the fuse with (not generic cheap fuse) correct fuse.

A few of these sets had problems with the degaussing circuit but that is rare----9 out of 10 times replacing the blown or open fuse with the CORRECT one returns set to operation.

I stress that as saw one where a guy replaced the fuse 3 times in a row in a few days with a generic one that popped at turn on.

I have a panosoinic tv model CT-2013SA and my son typed in a parental code and forgot it

Hello

There is a way to unlock Panasonic TVs. It will work on most of the Panasonic sets. Just try it.

Panasonic sets need to be reset to clear the v-chip settings. To do this, put it in standby mode, that is, switch on the set by its front panel power switch, and put it off by remote hanset, [standby position], then press the POWER and ACTION buttons at the same time and then turn the power off. The set should reset to the factory defaults, and reset the v-chip.
OK.

check The B+ of your tv. If no b+ Check the input AC voltage. If Ac i/p are ok but no B+ Volt maybe your IC in power supply has problem.

take your tv to technician who can check your power supply, if your power is coming on and off, than a problem is not as big. firstly let him check a ht of a supply constantly, your supply is cutting.

Won't turn on

Once you take the back off there is a glass gma fuse withing a few inches of where the power cord plugs into the board at. This should be a 6.3 or 6.5 gma fuse. Very common to blow in your model because the degausing coil is a little to big for it. There are other reasons for it to blow but 99% of the time you change change it and the set will work again. Let me know if you need more help or info!
